Welcome to Brooklyn! My lovely, spacious studio is in the central, historic neighborhood of Fort Greene, overlooking a park. The apartment has everything you need, and is perfect for a traveling couple or two friends.
The studio is on the ground floor of an historic brownstone-- lots of light, big windows, warm and cozy lighting inside. There's a big, decorative marble fireplace which lends that distinctive NYC look.
The queen size bed (with an amazingly comfortable organic mattress) can comfortably sleep two, but there's ample space on the floor for an air mattress for an extra fee.
Just a note that I live in the apartment when I'm not hosting, so there are clothes in the closet, etc. So it's not a hotel room, but it's cleaned professionally and stocked with everything you'll need :)

Speedy wireless internet included. Kitchen is fully furbished, with oven, stove, dishwasher and fridge. Heating and A/C included.
There's a very cheap laundry drop off right across the street with same day service.
Plus I have a big book collection you are free to peruse and borrow!

Hello! My name is Maddie and I'm a freelance writer. Born and raised in New York City, I’ve since lived in Montreal, Udaipur, Mumbai, and Hong Kong (some of the most beautiful cities in the world!) and I’ve traveled to over 40 countries across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. I often travel to report from far-flung places, and I'm always happy to share my home!
I'm currently working in New York and finishing a Masters degree at New York University. I currently live in the lovely, historic neighborhood of Fort Greene, in a beautiful, spacious studio overlooking the park.
I grew up in the city, and so I'm great at giving any recommendations you might need. Many of my favorite restaurants and bars are right around the corner from my house! And I'm happy to give advice on what to do, eat, and see in the city at large.
I'm a huge fan of Mad Men, Broad City, Russian novels, the New Yorker, SCUBA diving, indie music, practicing my Hindi, chasing down wildlife, and of course, traveling. I can't live without my passport, my iPod, my dog (who doesn't live in the studio), a good book, or access to a cold coca-cola. Thankfully I've found that last one in the most remote of destinations.
