Beautiful tropical setting with Ocean views! The ultimate chill and relax Hawaii getaway, yet close enough to town. Drenched in nature's souroundings with the best climate at the perfect elevation. Fresh fruit each morning, coffee and chill. Living area is open to cool breezes and clean. I recommend staying with Miles. He was welcoming and knowledgeable. This is a sweet place....Miles even had bodyboards and a sun umbrella for use. I am definitely visiting again. Thank you Miles :)

Ah Paradise is on a beautiful macadamia and coffee farm, and there is gorgeous tropical vegetation to be seen from the windows. On the other hand, accommodations were quite basic. The bathroom windows had no glass, the fixtures were old, the bedroom was furnished with just one chair, etc. Everything was quite clean. Breakfasts were do-it-yourself. High points: coffee from the farm and perfect papaya, and you could store and cook your own food. The rest: Breads were of average grocery-store quality (pretty cottony, even when toasted) and cold cereal was stored in the refrigerator. In short, Ah Paradise was minimal, clean and inexpensive. It's not far from Two steps (for snorkeling) and the Puako Petroglyph Park. Miles was a friendly host, and his instructions to the farm were excellent.

Aloha Jane, I would apologize for our place not meeting your higher expectations but it is what our guests consider “homey” and unique. Also, you chose our cheapest room which comes with free parking, free wifi and free continental breakfast for two at less than $100. There is also a swimming pool, hot tub, fish pond, outside gazebo and a 20x30 screen multi-purpose room and 7 acres of organic coffee and macadamia nuts. Our breakfast consists of a large platter of sliced papaya and pineapple per room plus 3 kinds of organic cereals (including gluten free) which are kept in the fridge because of the bugs here in Hawaii, plus 4 different types of milk. And, Yes, you do have to pour your own cereal and milk and toast your own bread. There is also organic store bought bread plus bagels, muffins and croissants and butter and cream cheese and yogurt. Our other guests rave about our breakfast. As for the screen but no glass windows, that is what we enjoy about Hawaii – fresh air. Since our winter low temperature is about 62 degrees and the days are in the 80s we really enjoy using screens instead of the fishbowl feeling. We are Not a high priced fancy resort but we do provide a clean and friendly home style atmosphere which most of our guests really enjoy and come back to.

Ah...paradise. This place offered a great blend of interaction with other travelers, as well as a relaxed and private environment. We loved unwinding in the hot tub in the evening, after taking advantage of the well-stocked kitchen to cook simple rainforest gourmet meals. Miles has been around for about 30 years in the area and is plugged into the community and knows all the spots. An interesting and engaging person who enriched our time and travel experiences.

Miles was a great host. Friendly, communicative, and just a great person to hang out with. Keep in mind the open housing quarters from living space to the rooms. This is a great retreat for those looking for a nature like getaway; this location is somewhat secluded and is about 25 minutes south of Kona. Absolutely loved it.
