Accès des voyageurs
We provide beach chairs and parasols for the guests to use on the beach. The apartment is fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, air conditioning and heating, air dryer, iron and ironing board.
For groceries, there are a few supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, in Budoni, and in Olbia there are two main shopping malls, with
big supermarkets: Panorama and Auchan (next to the airport).
There are lots of beaches around and a beach guide book in the apartment. There may be small charges (3 Euro per day) to park at some of the busier beaches. If you are interested in walks, the closest one is the pine forest in the Spiaggia St.Anna, but you will find all the information you require at home, where I left a file with leaflets about all the activities in the area (i.e. boat trips, excursions, horse riding, food & dining - there are many lovely agriturismo in the area!- beaches, walks, etc). You will also find a
Sardinian guide in English for your convenience. There is also a travel centre in Budoni where you can book a number of excursions, boat trips etc.
We always go to the beaches in Budoni, there’s a beautiful pine forest (a perfect spot for pic nics) in Tanaunella – immediately south of Budoni. Port Ottiolu (5 minutes north of Budoni) has a lovely beach and nice port area with plenty of fish restaurants. For a slightly quieter beach try La Caletta (10 minutes south of Budoni) – sandy beach and clear waters (also has a port which runs plenty of boat trips to the stunning Orosei coast) or Capo Comino (about 20 minutes south of Budoni). Capo Comino has miles of quiet sandy beaches. There is a road map in the apartment.
Further south and about 1 hour and a half drive is Cala Gonone – which has some stunning views driving through the cliffs and a long winding road down to the beach.
To the north are the busier Costa Smeralda resorts of Porto Rotondo, Porto Cervo and
Poltu Qualtu. There are all beautiful and exclusive places, if not a little pretentious and very expensive. Another resort on Costa Smeralda is Baia Sardinia, where there is a water park with slides etc.
The nearest is in San Teodoro – couple on the outskirts and one in the centre of the town. San Teodoro also has plenty of restaurants and a stunning beach called La Cinta.
Doctors / Pharmacy / Cash points
There are a number of pharmacies in Budoni – and you can ask there for doctors if you need it. We’ve never needed to trouble the doctors but believe there is one in Budoni. There also few cash points in Budoni.
There are a number of restaurants in Budoni – from fish restaurants to pizzerias and trattorias. La Volpe in Tanaunella is very good and worth a try. There are plenty of farm houses around called agriturismi – who for a fixed price will serve you a 2 to 3 hour feast of traditional Sardinian cuisine – very rustic – pork, mutton, pasta etc – usually about 5 or 6 courses. You will however need to drop into one and book for a fixed time – there are a couple of good ones down the hill to Budoni and right toward Muriscovo' – about 5 minutes drive away.
A great tip if you like fresh fish is that there is a fishmongers on the main road in Budoni who will fry you fresh fish there and then for you to eat outside. T
The peaceful seaside hamlet of Baia Sant' Anna is a 5 min drive to the village of Tanaunella which has 4 restaurants, 2 beach restaurants, 2 supermarkets and a pharmacy. Within 7 mins drive, one reaches the small town of Budoni with its fabulous long white sandy beaches flanked by fragrant pine forests. Budoni has a great selection of restaurants (from simple pizzeria to excellent restaurants), supermarkets, local 'Sarda' produce shops, ice cream shops, locals bars, Dive centre, shops etc.
Golf Club Pevero is an 18 hole, 6.150 m, Par 72 course in
Cala di Volpe near Porto Cervo (about an hours drive from the apts) facilities include, practice field, putting green, golf academy, pro shop, bar, restaurant & equipment hire. Green fees are from 50 Euros (mid week, low season) to 200 Euros (week-end, high season).
