Isn’t it easy to get sick of work, sick of stress and sick of a fast-paced life these days! The cure? A quiet getaway at Doctor’s Orders in Kokomo Cove! This Destin vacation rental sits just enough off the beaten path to offer real peace and tranquility- there are no parking lots, cement jungles or noisy neighbors here! It’s wooded surroundings encompass views of two inlets of Destiny West lake speckled with charming wildlife that call it home.

Another pleasant side effect of Doctor’s Orders is its location near Destin’s most powerful medicine- the soothing Gulf of Mexico. Head two blocks from the front porch and see the sun sparkling on the emerald water like diamonds, feel the powder-soft sand between your toes and listen to the rustle of sea oats in the Gulf Breeze. That powerful combination is sure to heal whatever ails you! Kokomo Cove’s entry also crosses a newly paved walking path that stretches the length of the beach road. Restaurants, shops and even golf courses dot this scenic route and provide entertaining waypoints for a sunny bike ride.

Doctor’s Orders has been totally renovated in 2015. Your home by the sea features a calming interior with worry-free Onyx Tile floors, a beautifully updated kitchen and new HD TV's. Additional ‘recovery aids’ include an eye-catching oceanscape décor, the convenience of a laundry room as well as the luxury of a Jacuzzi bath in the master suite. Plus, the private pool deck, two balconies with water views and a private grill are extra perks to this rejuvenating vacation home.

We looked at some of the communities that were Gated such as Emerald Shores, even stayed there. While they are nice, there is no privacy and no views. Doctor's Orders is in a mature well kept neighborhood with very old and beautiful twisted oak trees that line the streets and you can tell how well kept it is because most of the occupants are residents. Doctor's Orders is at the end of the culdesac which keeps it quite and safer for children. It also backs up to Drake Lake that is part of the Destiny Lake community. It has a million dollar view from the kitchen to the dinning room and into the living room. You also enjoy it from the master and one of the guest rooms on the second floor. Instead of looking out and seeing houses or street. You will enjoy a beautiful serene lake that is surrounded by million dollar houses. The sunrises and the reflection of the sunsets on the lake are just as incredible. You will love this view.

A car is needed, but we are in the heart of Crystal beach. Recreation and shopping is just around the corner.

The house backs up to Drake Lake and has spectacular views!

Amenities Offered: Everything will be done to make sure what was offered in any advertising will be in the property as described. There may be times when the exact amenities are not in the property. Every attempt is made to keep the inventory as advertised. A difference in amenities does not entitle Guest to any refund of rents paid. Amenities may be added or removed at the owners/managers discretion. Example: We may have advertised 4 DVD players; one may be out for service. That does not warrant any refund

Guest acknowledges that use of amenities such as hot tubs, pools, spas, fireplaces, decks, and the like may be potentially dangerous and involve potential risks if improperly used, particularly with regard to children and such use is at the Guest’s own risk.

Guest shall use the Property for residential purposes only and in a careful manner to prevent any damage or loss to the Property and keep the Property in clean and sanitary condition at all times. Guest and any additional permitted guests shall refrain from loud noise and shall not disturb, annoy, endanger, or inconvenience neighbors, nor shall Guest use the Property for any immoral, offensive or unlawful purposes, nor violate any law, association rules or ordinance, nor commit waste or nuisance on or about the Property.

Parking shall be limited to no more than 4 vehicles or as many will fit in the driveway without tires being on the street. The Kokomo Kove neighborhood HOA may have your vehicles towed at your expense should you park on the street.

Cleaning: There is no daily maid service. Linens, bath towels, and paper products (towels & bathroom tissue) are included as part of the rental of the house and are exchanged on after your stay. Please bring your own beach towels as house towels are not to be used on the waterfront.

Rental Party: Guest agrees that no more than 14 persons shall be permitted on the Property at any time during the Rental Term, all of whom shall comply with the conditions and restrictions imposed upon Guest under this Agreement.

1.Smoking is NOT allowed.
2.People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
3.All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

4.Keep the property and all furnishings in good order
5.Only use appliances for their intended uses
6.PETS are permitted only with prior approval and the Pet Addendum must be completed.
