I travelled to Addis in late January of 2016, from Los Angeles, California. I was in Addis to attend the US-Africa Business Summit being held at the United Nations Conference Center several miles from the property. I really didn't want to stay in a traditional hotel property bc I wanted to experience Ethiopians from the ground up, neighborhood and all. I am glad I located this property, which is located in a quite, gated, pleasant, and safe neighborhood. If you haven't been to Addis lately, you'd be pleasantly surprised to learn that the city has a modern and new light rail. I believe this is the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa. The rail line is a walking distance from the property and I was glad the rail line ran by the UN bc you save a ton of money using the rail service (taxi fares in Addis can be unreasonable) if you don't mind being crammed inside the train. I wonder what the people used or how they got around before the trains started running. It's a great infrastructural addition to a lovely and burgeoning city. I particularly loved having Meti, the woman taking care of he property, around to make the stay quite comfortable. Not only is she a great cook, she'll even spoil you by doing your laundry (without being asked!). Although we couldn't communicate (she speaks primarily Ahmaric and Arabic) it all added to the entire excitement of the trip bc we were forced to "talk" to one another with various gestures. She exudes what Ethiopians are known for: gentleness, warmth, and grace. My stay in Addis was comfortable overall and I look forward to returning to Addis on a more slow-paced and relaxed schedule; and I would most likely stay at Mola's property.

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Molla as he was out of the country during my stay, but he made sure everything was set for my stay, was very understanding about my changing travel plans, and his colleagues were extremely kind and helpful, and breakfast was always amazing (Meti is a great cook!).

I stayed about 5 nights and it was really a great experience for me. The location is in the outskirts of Addis which is quite and peacefully away from the busy city but not too far away either to restaurants or shopping facilities. The rooms are very clean and the villa has a nice garden. Breakfast we got served was fine, can recommend the pan cakes. The host is welcoming and very friendly. I can every one recommend to stay there, it was a very nice decision for me and think will use it the next time I am traveling again.

In fresh breezy air and away from the pollution centre, you arrive at a Real Estate area, situated between a wooded ridge with harvested fields and a lane that gives access to over 20 affluent private roads guarded at the entrance. In Road 9, beyond the private bushy gardens lie the villas, and you are aiming for House.
If you arrive with a car, there are plenty of free parking spaces within the guarded lane or within the locked inner compound.
Through the entrance hall on the ground floor you enter a spacious sitting room that leads into the dining area. There are 6-8 seats on armchairs and sofas with TV station waiting to welcome you. Next in the big kitchen the maid, who also keeps the house in order, prepares breakfast and is available till lunchtime. It is up to you to choose Ethiopian or continental style, but her self-pressed and mixed fruit juice is a wake-up call for every one. If you want to make your own lunch or dinner, you are welcome to do so; there is a freezer and a big fridge to stock up. If however you feel like ordering Pizza, there is an amazing continental bakery in the next road that also provides best quality cake, bread and Ingera. Next to the marble stairs leading upwards is a small cloak room.
Upstairs are three airy bedrooms; one with attached bathroom belongs to the male host and two carpeted rooms with king-size double beds share one bathroom. The host is out most of the day but in easy telephone reach if there are questions. Both maid and host speak English, the host also German; there is no language barrier.
If you arrive by air, Bole Airport is not very far. If you intend to stay five days, the host will arrange free transport for you. Otherwise a taxi would be the easiest means to reach our AirBnB.
As the host is experienced in providing guided tours, trips or just rent-a-car-cum driver, he could be an excellent help to start you up getting through in the maze of traffic and construction works in the inner city. If you just want to acclimatize to height and climate in town and go on to discover the wonders of the country, he is the man to point you in the right directions.
