Conveniently located near Interstate 80 between Williamsport (home of Little League World Series) and State College (home of Penn State University). Everything in the Caboose has been restored to original condition. Retrofitting has made it possible to have shower, flush toilet, sinks, dinette, microwave, and linens for the beds!

Guests will have access to the entire inside of the Caboose. There are 2 bunks for sleeping, which provide plenty of room. There is also a regular flush toilet, shower, sink, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, and dinette for sitting. There is also heat and air conditioning depending on the weather outside. Located next to the Caboose is a wonderful kiosk with history of the Castanea Railroad Station.

We have very minimal interaction with our guests. We provide a lockbox for guests to be able to enter and leave when they please. We are only present if an emergency arises, as we are only a short 5 minute drive away.

We are very environmentally conscious so we ask our guests to leave the space in the same way they found it. The Caboose is located in a residential area, which is relatively quiet, safe, and friendly! You can park in front of the Caboose next to our information kiosk about the train station history.
The 1941 Restored Vintage Caboose is managed by the Clinton County Historical Society, which is a local non-profit. The Caboose situated at the Castanea Railroad Station, which is owned by the Clinton County Historical Society. The Clinton County Model Railroad Club occupies the space and periodically has public open houses to attend. .
