Our home was built in the early 20th century on historic Logan Boulevard. The original wood is still untouched in most of the apartment, with gorgeous classically Chicago beams separating the two spacious living rooms. The apartment is south facing, so it gets loads of sunshine. Although the collection is in process and much of the work is not shown in our photos, we proudly hang art in our home by Chicago artists, and much of our goods, from soaps to blankets to mugs, have been made by Chicago makers.

Our big kitchen has just been updated with butcher block counters, providing tons of space for cooking prep. The unusually large bathrooms allow for room to spread out, and the clawfoot bathtub is our favorite spot in the whole house.

We have two super comfortable beds with down comforters: The East Room (pink/gray) has large closet space & tons of sunlight, and the Library has its own book nook made of local reclaimed wood built by our good friend as well as a desk & deep closet.

The dining room is the jewel of the apartment, with original arts & crafts style beams in the ceiling, a wooden hutch & bar (BYOB, though!) with original stain glass, and a dining room table that can seat up to 10 with the removable leaf.

Here in the wintertime? Cozy up to the fireplace (only when hosts home), grab a book from the library, put on a record or sit down to the piano. Summertime? We have air conditioning units for each bedroom and ceiling fans in both living rooms. We also have a lovely backyard and garden for you to relax in when the weather is warm.

You may have noticed a super cute furry friend in the kitchen - that's Demi, our playful and sweet Husky! We do ask that you understand that we do our best controlling her dog fur. We have lint rollers available. She is a super sweet, completely non-threatening, playful pup. Dog lovers, you're really in for a treat. :)

Guests will have access to the two guest bedrooms (East & Library) plus all common areas. Guests may use the laundry in the basement upon request (only when hosts are home). A bicycle may be available at an additional charge.

We will be super thorough with communication leading up to your stay. While you are staying in our home, we will be available via phone for you, and text check in during your stay. We can be as involved or uninvolved as you need. Our super friendly landlords live above of us, whom you main run into with their dog Phantom.

Logan Square is a not to be missed neighborhood for nightlife, restaurants, shops and historic sites. Located on on of Chicago's most iconic, sought out, and beautiful boulevards, we are in the heart of what is considered one of Chicago's best hoods. We will provide you with all kinds of tips (and maybe a deal or two as well!) to our favorite spots, including Lula Cafe, which is a two minute walk, Intelligentsia, Bowtruss & Gaslight Coffee Roasters (also both within five minutes), Fat Rice, Longman & Eagle, the Whistler, and more. If you're staying over the weekend between May and November, you'll get to experience the Logan Square Farmer's Market at our doorsteps, an event in and of itself, considered the best in the city and the second largest. The Logan Theatre, recently renovated with a bar and comfy seats is around the corner. Logan Square residents are often young and creative.

We are a two minute walk to the Logan Square blue line stop (extremely convenient for O'hare travelers), one minute from the Diversey and Milwaukee buses and five minutes from the Fullerton bus. We are a two minute drive (less than a mile) from 90/94 interstate. There is free street parking on Logan Blvd and metered spots avail throughout Logan Square.

Règlement intérieur

Profil utilisateur de Kristen & Moll

Hello, friends! We are Kristen and Moll, longtime Chicago residents and aspiring world travelers. Moll is a freelance videographer/photographer, and in the Camera Department for TV and commercials, most recently Fox's EMPIRE. Kristen owns the event & cultural production studio No Small Plans Productions, "partying with a purpose" with programs that lift up local creative and philanthropic communities.

At home in Chicago when we aren't hustling the production life, we like to hang with our husky/shepherd Demi, host impromptu parties at our house, and dress up and hit the town to support local businesses, art & creative production as much as possible. When we travel, we like to explore and learn from the local culture, experience nature, make new friends, catch a show at a great venue, find the best thrift stores/boutiques and EAT, of course!

Together, we truly love building community and showing all of what Chicago has to offer to travelers and artists alike. We do not get down with negativity, or racism/sexism/classism/ageism/homophobia/transphobia or anything that promotes harming or hating others. We live to love and love to live & invite you to join.

We operate on respect, trust and will go the extra mile to help you enjoy our great city of Chicago. We can be low key or provide the best-kept secrets to Chicago - just ask!

Happy trails!
