Apartment 206 Devonshire is spacious, newly renovated, self-catering 2 double bedroom/2 bathroom Apartment in the heart of Cape Town in Green Point; within walking distance of the V & A Waterfront and all surrounding amenities. One secure undercover parking bay is available with an additional parking bay for guests and further ample street parking nearby. The Apartment has a gas hob and electric oven; dishwasher; washer/dryer combo and satellite television with the DSTV compact bouquet. Devonshire has monitored CCTV surveillance, 24 hour patrolled security and remote control access at all points of entry.

Guests will have unrestricted access to the whole apartment and sole use of the undercover parking space; bay 9, at the bottom of the rear stairs.

Guests will be met by Maarten Peutz or Johnnie Autard, the direct neighbours next door in apartment 205, who will hold the keys for apartment 206; meet and greet, answer any queries and generally manage your stay.

Green Point has been called the Soho of Cape Town – with its funky restaurants and busy nightclubs, the place has an energy all of its own. Wedged between Table Bay, Signal Hill, Sea Point, the V&A Waterfront and the city centre, it sits in the middle of all the local action.
The area is home to Cape Town Stadium, Green Point Urban Park, Metropolitan Golf Club and a number of other sports fields.
Green Point Urban Park is multipurpose green space that’s free to the public and open seven days a week. It includes wide open areas, outdoor gym facilities and a biodiversity garden where you can learn more about local plant species and how they were used by indigenous Khoisan groups.
Green Point Lighthouse, South Africa’s oldest dating back to 1824, is a short walk away, and there’s much more to do besides: Take a long walk or jog along the promenade right next to the Atlantic Ocean; rest on one of the benches and take in the stunning views of the sea; head to one of the children’s play areas which include jungle gyms, swings, slides, a mini train and mini golf course; or pop into the flea market next to Cape Town Stadium (every Sunday) to pick up curios from around the African continent.
Take a walk to the top of Lion’s Head and enjoy the panoramic views of the city. Alternatively, drive to the top of Signal Hill to see some spectacular sunsets.

The Uber taxi service is very well established in Cape Town and offers a very affordable and convenient means of getting around town.

There is a MyCiti bus stop (Gallows Hill) on Main Road Green Point very close to Devonshire. This bus service runs reguarly to all areas within metropolitan Cape Town.

Green Point has fast become one of the trendiest residential areas in Cape Town. Wedged between Signal Hill, Sea Point, the V&A Waterfront and the City Centre, it is a unique and animated area with a personality all of its own due to its vibrant night clubs and sumptuous restaurants.

Please be sensitive to the fact that you share Devonshire with many others; please keep noise to a minimum.

Please note: smoking is not permitted in 206 Devonshire. If you need to smoke please us the balcony and dispose of your butts sensitively.

L'appartement est incroyable : neuf, beau, plein sud, totalement aménagé. Il y a tout ce dont on a besoin. Les 2 salles de bain/WC sont très pratiques. Je ne vois rien du tout à changer ou améliorer. La remise des clés s'est très bien passée. L'immeuble est très bien, silencieux et sécurisé. Le quartier est central, près du Waterfront, et au coeur du quartier De Waterkant (nombreux restaurants et bars branchés). Je recommande vivement cet appartement !

We had a wonderful stay at Michael’s! The apartment is in a great and safe location, about a 20-minute walk to the V&A Waterfront and just a few blocks away from cafes, restaurants and markets. It was spotlessly clean, and we greatly appreciated that tea and coffee were waiting for us after 24+ hours of travel. Would highly recommend staying here while in Cape Town!

The apartment, located in the heart of Green Point, was very well furnished and extremely clean. It had all the amenities for a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

Michael's place was perfect for our family, and we would have been happy living there full time. It's a great, quieter location whether this is your first time in Cape Town or a repeat visitor. Everything we needed was in the apartment (with the exception of perhaps a mini safe). The building itself is very secure with friendly 24-hour security guards and the parking space was not too tight. The location is pretty convenient with or without a car, as Uber is super convenient and there is a Woolworths Food supermarket about five minutes walk away. However, you will probably use Uber. To V&A or Mouille Point (Sea Point), Uber will cost less than ZAR25, to Bo Kaap around ZAR30-35. Should mention that we never met Michael as he is often out of town but had no problem checking in and checking out. Lastly, if you like ice cream and milk shakes, check out The Creamery (they have a few locations including one in Mouille Point near the west entrance to Green Point Park) and the shakes at Gibsons Burgers at V&A.
