This is a corner apt. on the 2nd floor of a relatively new building. The apt. has views of the mountains and is in the northern part of Capitol Hill. The apt. is located near bars, restaurants, coffeeshops, grocery stores, parks and shopping! However, it is removed enough from the Capitol Hill bars that it isn’t too loud. The building is highly secure, has an elevator and an indoor heated pool in the basement!

Le logement

I am a PhD student at the UW studying education policy. I'll be away for a research project mid August for a month, 8/10 - 9/10, and am looking for someone to enjoy my apt. while I'm gone. I've had guests stay many times before while I'm away, and it always works out great. References upon request!

The apartment is truly fantastic. You will be in the best part of Capitol Hill - near bars, restaurants, coffeeshops, grocery stores and shopping. Steps away from Joe Bar and Roy Street Coffee. Across the street from the Cornish School of Music, a short walk from Cal Anderson park and even closer to Volunteer park (10 minute walk). Capitol Hill is a very safe and vibrant neighborhood, and while my apt. is close to all of the fun, it is removed enough from the night scene to be peaceful and quiet!

The building has an elevator and an indoor heated pool in the basement! Coin and credit card operated laundry is also in the building, with brand new laundry machines. There is plenty of street parking, and easily accessible bus stops. No parking spot in the building, however street parking is always available near the building. The new Link Capitol Hill station is now open and is just a few blocks away! The 9, 43 and 49 bus stops (going up to the UW campus and to downtown) all stop down the street. The walk downtown is no more than 15 minutes!

This is a corner apt. on the 2nd floor, which means plenty of windows and sun! There is a decent view of the mountains on clear days. The apt. comes fully furnished, including a bed, towels, couches, dining table, stocked kitchen for cooking, and high quality Bodum appliances for making coffee - everything you see in the photos.

I will also clear plenty of storage space for you, including space in the bathroom, closets and drawers. My personal belongings will not be in the way at all. Rent for the month is $2,680 (plus a $300 deposit which you will get back, you can write a check and I won't cash it, I'll will simply give it back to you at end of your stay). The rent includes all utils., bills and internet (wifi). I will pay all of the bills as they'll stay in my name - less of a headache for you! I don't have cable or a TV, but I do have an Apple airport which allows you to wirelessly play music through my speakers and subwoofer. Also have a nice guitar in case you play.

Seattle is absolutely incredible in the spring, and I'd be happy to host you! Last bit - the apt. is pet friendly and I have a dog. The dog will not be here of course. He is a short-fur, hypoallergenic breed, and doesn't shed. But just fyi, in case you have severe allergies.

Boris is a great host -- very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Setting up the trip, getting the keys, and leaving the apartment all went smoothly. He responded to all of my messages quickly. It's definitely a bachelor pad -- the furniture, bed, and carpet are all very well worn, but the place still feels clean and livable, and it has a great view of the Lake Union hillside. The apartment complex was quiet at night and in the morning, and there wasn't any traffic noise or other issues that bothered us. The location of the apartment is pretty much ideal if you're looking to easily get to downtown Seattle and the neighboring areas. It's so close to public transit that renting a car and even ubering didn't feel very necessary at all. It's a 10-minute walk from the Capitol Hill light rail stop to his apartment, so we used light rail and streetcars to get everywhere we wanted to go.
