Samuel, I (Nita Kay - office manager) am so sorry that we did not meet your expectations. We communicated often by text before your arrival, which was originally scheduled for 4:00 PM. Since you needed to change your arrival time for later in the evening and I had a previous obligation at that time, I made sure that you were greeted and checked in by someone else. We had other communication throughout the weekend, and I even offered to extend your checkout time on Sunday morning. We make it a practice not to invade our guest's privacy while staying at our Bed and Breakfast. However, I can assure you that if you would have spent some time outside enjoying the outdoors and wandering around the ranch, the crew here would have been more than happy to visit with you.
As an airbnb host, it is suggested that we leave "OJ, bagels, and fruit" in the refrigerator for you for breakfast. Since you were staying two nights, I left a breakfast casserole, sausage, apple cinnamon muffins, citrus salad, yogurt, grape juice, milk, and coffee for Saturday morning breakfast. For Sunday morning breakfast, I left a ham/egg/cheese rollup, bacon, cinnamon roll, fresh pineapple, yogurt, juice, milk, and coffee. These were left with the understanding that you could wake up at your leisure and heat up breakfast in your fully functional kitchen. You ate some of it, but certainly not all.
We have a binder of information that is left on the kitchen table with all kinds of information about our B&B and the surrounding area. There is a page near the front that is titled "The Little Details". The second paragraph reads: "The whirlpool hot tub jets will only work after the water level is above the silver “dot” right above the jets opposite the faucet. The “on/off” button is the silver button on the right front lip of the tub. In the unlikely event that the hot tub trips a breaker, the breaker box is located in the storage closet next to the fireplace. The hot tub is #30 and #32." Even if you hadn't read this in the binder, I was only a phone call or text away, and the owners live on-site and could have helped you, because the hot tub works perfectly.
We were pleased with the tidy condition in which you left your room and living area, and were happy to leave you a perfect review. Again, we're sorry that we did not meet your expectations, but we are sure we could have rectified any problems if you had made us aware of them while you were here.
