RVers with any size RV enjoy a vacation rental experience rather than a crowded park at this private, quiet site with hookups, a fire pit, outdoor hot tub, shower and sink on 10 wooded acres just minutes from the resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Lake Pend Oreille.
Bring your RV of any type or size, as this site will accommodate up to a motor coach with tip-outs and 50 amp service. The RV site's location is a private spot in the woods and is situated near a camping cabin that allows for group retreats, yet is far enough away to provide separation and privacy. Hookups are on-site with a frost-free hydrant serving up tasty well water! A beautiful outdoor hot tub under the stars seats five with a lounge. A unique outdoor shower and sink with an on-demand propane water heater is a fabulous new addition to the property. The site has its own fire pit, and camp wood is provided. We have accommodations for dogs and horses too. The property includes a house and a camping cabin that allows for the possibility of group retreats.

Outdoor hot tub and shower, fire pit, horseshoe pits. Barn, round pen and fenced area for horses. Large run for dogs. Walking trail on-site and access to 200 acres a half mile away to walk, ride horses or go to a pond and view wildlife. Bring your own RV and plug into 50 amp service and tap into Wi-Fi on-site.
If you bring horses, it's an extra $10 per head per night to feed out of my barn. If you bring dogs, I ask for a $25 pet fee. If you stay for a month or more, a fee for electricity will be added to your reservation.
Be respectful of other guests and the property. Dogs will only be allowed if they are kept on leash, are friendly and good with other dogs and people, and are well-behaved. Don't stray onto my neighbors' properties. Thank you for making this fun and affordable for everybody!
As much as possible or as little as guests desire.
I'm a backcountry horse woman, downhill skier and bicyclist who loves the outdoors and being active. I recently retired from working professionally as an editor for a local publishing company for 25 years, editing Sandpoint Magazine, Schweitzer Magazine and books, such as trail guides and natural history titles. I have one dog, Beau, whom I call a North Idaho hound terrier, one cat who's old and mostly stays inside, and an Arabian/quarter horse mare named Bunny (no, I didn't name her!).
Originally from Wisconsin, I grew up in North Idaho riding horses, skiing, snowmobiling, dirt biking and voraciously reading books. While I was growing up in Sandpoint and Bayview in the 1970s-80s, I lived without electricity and running water three different times, so I'm not afraid of outhouses or roughing it.
After graduating from Sandpoint High School in 1985, I moved back to Madison, Wisconsin, to study journalism at the University of Wisconsin. I returned to Sandpoint in 1990, bought property, married, built a house, raised a son and stepdaughter, got unmarried, and am now married to my present partner, Mike, whom I convinced to join me in offering vacation rentals. We formed Twin Cedars Camping and Vacation Rentals LLC in 2014 with the goal of semi-retiring together. Between the two of us and our properties, we have two homes, three RV sites, a camping cabin and a tipi available. We plan to live in each of our homes for half the year, while the other home is open as a vacation rental.
I'm a home brewer who's passionate about good beer, cooking from scratch, and seemingly endless home improvement projects. Mike is a private pilot, and we enjoy flying around the area and airplane camping, as well as backcountry trail riding and horse camping.
I love having guests and sharing my knowledge of the area. We live in an outdoor paradise, and we like to share our pieces of paradise with others.
