It was a nice modern apartment in a good location near the festival, was helpful when we arrived as he paid for the taxi (was expecting it to be Paula but it was a man who said he was her brother, we never met Paula). However on departure which was at 00:30am the host (not Paula) came to check the apartment and entered the bedrooms and pulled the door handles off which we had no issue with the during our trip and claimed that we broke them and must pay. He aggressively demanded €100 which we didn't have on us, he stood infront of the door and refused to let us leave. We reluctantly offered to pay via bank transfer as we had no option to pay it and we had no cash. He refused bank transfer and said one of us must go on the back of his bike to the cash point which came across intimidating so we offered to walk it instead. When we left there was a taxi outside waiting to take us to a cash point, we had no choice but to go we were scared at this point as we were in a taxi with 2 Croatian's not speaking english in the middle of the night where we didn't know where we were. After he received his money and was dropped back to the apartment the host got out without saying bye or thank you which we thought was very rude after what just happened, we feel like it was a scam, apartment was really lovely but wouldn't recommend.
