Chic & cozy apartment on the doorsteps of St Jacobs Square right in the heart of the old city, but still nice and quiet in one of the smaller streets around the Vrijdagsmarkt, St. Jacobs and the 3 towers that dominate the Ghent skyline. The apartment is laid out over 3 floors, on the first level are 2 large bedrooms with wardrobes (one has a balcony), those 2 bedrooms have a Kingsize bed (boxspring) that can be separated into 2 single beds, a bathroom with shower a sink and a toilet, and a 2nd bathroom with a big bathtub, a handheld shower, double sink, 2nd toilet and washer + dryer, steam iron and ironing board. Towels and sheets are provided and included in the price but if you don't want to make use of fresh household linen (sheets, towels, tablecloth), let me know and you get a small discount on the total price. The second level is the living room, dining room and kitchen with a terrace outside and the third level is an open space/loft under the roof with a double bed. All rooms are equipped with central heating and WIFI. The open living area has a fully equipped kitchen ideal for longer stays (fridge, oven, microwave, espresso machine, toaster, electric water boiler, blender, dishwasher, etc…), a dining area and terrace, as well as a comfortable seating area with TV and radio/cd player. The space is very light and bright thanks to the many windows and the clear interior. Tasteful, stylish, space and comfort.

-The Holly Food Market at 1 min walk : a foodie heaven in a unique venue: a church built in the 16th century, the old Baudelo-chapel. The snacks in hostievorm you can flush with heavenly cocktails or at the counter of the beer bar.
-Area called "Patershol" at 5 min walk: one of Belgium’s gourmet hotspots, a neighborhood that is one of the most authentic areas of town, littered with 300 year old houses, it literally breaths history. On top of dozens of fantastic restaurants, there are several galleries, museums just around the corner, with the 13th century Gravensteen castle and "Huis Van Alijn" being the highlights. Car : you can park your car in the streets (free of charge on Sundays) or in the secured underground parking at the Vrijdagmarkt (3 min walk) with typical French fries stalls on your way back.
Public transport : busses and tramway within five minutes’ walk, all directions. There are busses at the church St-Jacobs OR a tram n°1 (indication : Expo) nearby the medieval castle called "Gravensteen" that takes you to the main train station Gent-Sint-Pieters in 7 minutes.
Taxi : there are always taxi's on the square behind the church St Jacobs. A taxi can take you to the main railway station St-Pieters-Station in 15 minutes.
