Jason was a wonderful host. From the time we arrived, until we checked out. He gave us a lot of tips and pointers about getting around and about what is available nearby (food, attractions, etc).
The room was comfortable for two. We were ok with no windows. Though you would need to remember to set your alarm if you need to wake up at a certain hour in the morning, since you have no idea how high the sun is with no window! The air-conditioner works wonders after walking all day in the hot sun! We loved the quirky cardboard cut-outs used for the furnishing and decor.
The shower had a good powerful pressure and the toilet was clean. We were also provided with towels during our stay, and shampoo in the shower. There are toast, tea and coffee offered for free every morning if you don't feel like having heavy breakfast. You can also refill your water bottles at the guest house for free.
The place was near enough to everything. 10 minutes to the UNESCO sites, 8 minutes to KOMTAR, 5 minutes to 1st Avenue Mall, 5 Minutes to a 7-Eleven, 5 minutes to the Hua Hin Bus Depot, 3 minutes to a Mamak stall. There are even hawker stalls every night 2 houses away from the guest house (non-halal).
All in all it was a good stay, and highly recommended to anyone who is looking for affordable, comfortable and convenient place to stay in Penang.
