Spacious, private guest suite and garden terrace in a newly modernized 1965 A-Frame. Access the 800 SF garden suite through your own private entrance. Relax in sitting room, enjoy private full bath with jetted tub, roomy bedroom with queen bed.

Our guest suite is all set up for a private retreat, whether a quick overnight or a weekend stay. The entire house was just remodeled from top to bottom in 2015, including this daylight basement re-design that we are now renting here on Airbnb. It is completely partitioned off from the rest of the house for your privacy and ours.

You'll find immaculate, modern space with polished cement floors and white walls, paired with vintage furnishings.

On entry from the terrace, you'll find a sitting room with large windows overlooking the fern garden, with large flat screen TV and access to streaming movies from Netflix. (You can also connect your own apps via Chromecast, there's WiFi throughout.) Settle in and relax in the space - it doesn't have a kitchen, but you will be set up with a little bar station including glassware, coffee mugs, electric kettle and coffee for morning. We'll take care of doing the dishes.

The bedroom includes a queen size bed, four pillows, and a small television with Chromecast. Adjacent to the bedroom is a large walk in closet/dressing area with a desk and extra plug-ins for charging devices.

The bright, full bath has a deep jetted soaking tub and shower, fluffy towels, shampoo, soap and hairdryer. It is separate from the bedroom so that it can be accessed from the main sitting area.

When people stay the first remarks are usually about the quiet of the neighborhood. It is quite a respite from the typical noise you find in Seattle and Bellevue. At night you can see the stars, and hear the crickets (even frogs sometimes around the lakes).

Keep your eye out for little rabbits who love to come by, and occasionally families of deer. You'll be guaranteed a sighting of our dogs Hilde and Rumor. Both are quiet little corgis.

We set this up as a private retreat for our guests, with your own entrance and a space separate from the rest of the house where we live. You are welcome to enjoy the patio space on the ground level of the guest suite looking out over the fern garden.

We're happy to give tips and recommendations on the area, tend to keep to ourselves. We respect your privacy. (We also know people who like A-Frames like to see the space - so happy to give you a tour!)

We like to make things easy for everyone, and are easily reachable by text. We will coordinate with you on your arrival time, and if schedules are too difficult will arrange for you to pick up the keys on site.

Mirrormont is a special place. Everyone here lives on approximately an acre, and you'll see giant trees and ferns, and if you watch you'll see rabbits, deer, hummingbirds and even eagles. We haven't seen one yet - but sometimes people have bear sightings!

What's nice is that it is only 15 minutes from old town Issaquah and Front Street, which has a vibrant arts and culture scene with wine walks, festivals, multiple theaters and great spots for food and drinks. You'll find the fish hatchery and the trolleys, the iconic Boehm's Chocolates, lots of public art and art galleries.

On your way from Issaquah to Mirrormont you'll find the Seattle Paragliding, trail heads for Tiger and Squak Mountain, Fox Hollow Farms petting zoo, the Cougar Mountain Zoo, wineries, and Christmas Tree farms!

During the summer and early fall, make sure to check out the Issaquah Farmer's Market at Pickering Farms.

Mirrormont is approximately 6 miles from Issaquah, accessible by car or bicycle for experienced cyclists. Many cyclists and hikers love to come out to this area for the great routes through horse farms, wooded areas and trails.

Basically by car you're 15 minutes from Issaquah, and then from downtown Issaquah to Seattle it is 17 miles (another 20-40 minutes depending upon traffic.)

We recommend checking traffic (and using the Waze app) as it can get bogged down during commuting hours.

Issaquah does have a fabulous park and ride if you want to ditch the car and head in to Seattle or Bellevue. (It's right across the street from Top Pot Doughnuts - ideal for coffee and a treat on your way to the city).

The neighborhood itself is very walkable - quiet roads, big trees. You'll see other dog-walkers, and occasionally someone going by on horseback (there's lots of horse farms around).

The guest suite does not have a kitchen, and restaurants are all at least a 15 minute drive.

Cell phone coverage is spotty up here. If you have AT&T we can add you to our booster and you'll get good coverage while you are in the house (usually full bars). Some guests like the idea of "unplugging" and are fine with just using our wifi rather than cell coverage. Otherwise we recommend bringing a wifi booster if you're not with AT&T.

We do live upstairs full-time. We are quiet, but our kitchen is above the guest suite, so you will hear us as we cook dinner.

We feel like this is our vacation home - a place for relaxation 7 nights a week. We like to kick back and relax after long work days, and enjoy the nature surrounding us. (We do live upstairs!)

This is a quiet neighborhood community, and we all look out for each other and respect quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM.

Please take care of the suite as if it were your own home.

We live in the woods and respect nature, which means no fires, no garbage outside (you will attract wildlife - including bears!). Let the rabbits, birds and deer do their thing if you see them, don't try to get close.

No smoking inside or out.

Sorry, no pets allowed in the guest suite.

Check out is 12:00 at the latest.
