Please message me before making a booking so that we can discuss your visit. This is a really attractive small house in a friendly and "villagey" area. Very good transport, five minutes from Wandsworth Town station with great connections to both the West End and the City, plus lots of buses. It is also ten minutes from the river bus where you can go both up and down the river. There is also free parking between 4.30 pm and 9.30 am, after that it is only £7.00 for the whole day.
This is my second, smaller bedroom, but with plenty of room, which is very pretty and quiet. Formerly my office it is being re - born again as a bedroom!. It is great for a short stay for the weekend or indeed much longer, so do try it. It also has a small and very useful desk for you if work calls.
There is also a bigger bedroom with antique furniture for longer stays (see Super small Double) or if you just feel like a double bed!
There are lots of great restaurants and bars nearby from traditional; English fish and chips, to Morrocan, Indian and Thai! Also two well known pubs, one right on the river. Two good supermarkets, plus a gym to work it off if you feel the need. There is a peaceful walk along the river to Chelsea and Knightsbridge via Battersea Park and Albert Bridge which is famous from being shown in lots of films.Tomas the cat is always extremely welcoming to visitors, but will leave you alone if you so desire.
Right now can also be a good time to visit the countryside with fewer people. If you are brave and hire a car you can visit Highclere where Downton Abbey is filmed!. London is also full of great shopping, plus all the theatres and shows and concerts. There are new exhibitions all over London including the Victoria and Albert Museum and also for the first time some fascinating ones at Kensington Palace where Princesses Diana and Margaret lived and now William and Kate (not their appartments though!) At the bottom of the road are "Boris" bikes for hire, if you want to bike round London. Cheaper and greener, if that interests you!.

I will be in my house the whole time and very happy to help and advise you with any help you might need during your stay. I work from home so am around much of the time.
Please contact me so that we can exchange a few details before you make a booking.
Smoking is permitted but only in the garden. This is my home and not a hotel, so please treat it with care as you would your own. Please be considerate with your use of the bathroom, very lengthy showers means no hot water for the next person! You are very welcome to use the wifi, desk etc but please remember that this is a home and not a business and cannot be used as an office 24/7
Finally I really hope that you will enjoy staying here!

This is a really fantastic year to visit Britain. After a wonderful summer we are now having an Indian autumn with glorious sunshine, well part of the time! It is also sixty years since the Queen's Coronation and there are wonderful exhibitions connected with this. Also a new exhibition just opening at Kensington Palace, which is still lived in by the Royal family - in fact William and Kate and George have movedinto one part with Harry in one of the cottages. It was also the home of Princess Diana. I worked for many years as a blue badge Tourist Guide and my main interests are history and houses, so I would love to help you if you are visiting Britain and need some ideas. This is a wonderful country and if you are brave enough to hire a car (!) you can drive through the small vilages, stay at lovely old pubs and really get to know us.
I used to be fluent in French and Spanish: as with all languages they can go without practise, but I can still remember more than enough to welcome any French and Spanish speakers and help them with their visits here.
Finally I love this country, know it well, and look forward to meeting you and making your time here a really enjoyable experience
