Description

At about 480 sq ft this bright, clean, and comfortable one-bedroom garden suite is perfect for one or two people. Centrally located with easy access to parks, movie theatres, walk/bike trails (bikes available for free), coffee shops, downtown nightlife, and shopping ... it's close to everything, but quiet. If you're in Victoria for work, school or a holiday, make it your home away from home.

This is a newly-built "tiny" house in the quiet Rockheights area of Esquimalt equipped with a gas fireplace and new gas appliances, in-suite laundry, free off-street parking, private entrance, and patio. The house backs onto the E&N rail trail that leads in either direction to the Galloping Goose trail, Victoria city, or the Western communities. It is within walking distance to CFB Esquimalt and under 10-minutes drive to Thetis Lake, Victoria General Hospital, Royal Roads University, or downtown Victoria.

Enjoy your private patio or wander through the garden. On cooler nights, with free access to Netflix, you can curl up with a good movie or binge watch the latest series - chances are you'll find popcorn in the kitchen ;-)

I live on the property and have a busy life, so, I won't get in your way, but will respond to email and text messages. I will be happy to give tips on what to see in Victoria or help with directions. I want you to love being here ... always interested to hear your feedback.

This is a quiet neighbourhood. At the cairn in nearby Highrock Park, you can enjoy a vista view of the surrounding area including the Gorge Vale Golf course and inner harbour.

A quick 10-minute stroll through Rockheights brings you to Esquimalt village ... or to the little ferry at West Bay Marina. Hop a ride to Fisherman's Wharf or into downtown Victoria. If you want a longer walk, enjoy a 40-minute waterfront stroll on the West Song walkway to downtown Victoria ... or about 30 minutes down to Saxe Point with lovely gardens, picnic area and a view across Juan de Fuca Strait to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. The Galloping Goose trail is minutes away for cycling or walking and 3 different bus routes are just a few blocks in either direction. If you have a car, a 5- to 10-minute drive will get you downtown or to the highways in and out of the city.

Although I don't promise daily breakfast, you will find a variety of breakfast options in the fridge enough for the first couple of mornings ... also a variety of spices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and a few staples in the cupboard. There is an iron and ironing board. This tiny house offers lots of storage space, with a little walk-in closet in the bedroom and a pantry off the fully equipped kitchen. If you are temporarily working or going to school in Victoria, or in the process of moving to the area, you can enjoy all the comforts of home while you sort out permanent accommodations.

My property backs on to the E&N railway track, but have no worries about trains rumbling by. The train hasn't run in over 5 years.

I have two bikes and helmets that you're welcome to use during your stay.

Tiny Home was more than spacious for us. Very bright, clean and quiet. We greatly appreciated the little extras like bagels, muffins, fruit, eggs, etc. to get us started. We had a car, but Charlotte had two bicycles and helmets and a trail right off her street to enjoy, if you wanted. We will definitely book again when we are in the Victoria area.

Charlotte's little bungalow was a wonderful find. The bungalow was really comfortable and spacious really, not tiny. It had all the mod cons and bicycles too, and is located on a bicycle lane that takes you right into the heart of downtown Victoria.

Charlotte's place is the perfect home base for a visit to beautiful Victoria, with emphasis on the word "home." We really did feel like locals staying in this charming cottage. And the E&N Rail Trail is right next to the cottage. How convenient is that! And free use of the bikes is a wonderful plus for active visitors. Highly recommended!

Charlotte's "tiny" house in Esquimalt is a real gem. We stayed one week and found it VERY comfortable. Charlotte has included everything, plus many extras, to make for a perfect stay. The house is especially well located and everything to see and do in Victoria is within an easy drive.

My wife and I were very happy with the accommodations at Charlotte's tiny home. The place was super clean and the welcome items were very much appreciated. We also loved the hiking/biking trail right behind the house.

This is a quiet and very clean little place. Charlotte provided eggs, fresh ground coffee, cream, milk, cereals, bagels and croissants, as well as yogurt. Clearly, she takes pride in providing the best experience possible. We recommend that you stay here!

Charlotte's tiny home was nothing short of perfect. The location, right off the E and N trail gave us easy walkable and bikeable access to parts of Victoria of interest to us. I doubt we will ever find an Airbnb host as thoughtful or generous as Charlotte.

I love live music and dancing, gardening, playing ukulele every week with my friends and walking local trails. Good food - good friends - good times.

As a guest, I'm quiet and respectful of other peoples' property - enjoy exploring new places and learning a little about local daily life. Living in Germany for 3 years and travelling around Europe during that time, gave me an appreciation for different lifestyles and cultures. I like to think I'm a traveller, not a tourist. I want to be in a place, not just pass through it.

As a host, I'm accommodating and do my best to make guests comfortable. I'm available, but not in your face ... always interested in feedback and want to know what I can do to make your stay special.
