While staying in our apartment you can enjoy the lake, rolling hills, beautiful countryside and endless opportunities for sport (winter or summer) but being close to Salzburg you can immerse yourself in the history and culture of the city, sound of Music and Mozart, and visit the Weihnachtsmarkts which are open from late November until just after the New Year
Now beginning our second season ! We are excited to host you in Mattsee.
This 85sqm ground floor apartment (renovated in early 2015) is like home away from home and is just minutes from the Mattsee town centre and the shores of the lake it is situated in a quiet neighbourhood with open fields on two sides.
With an atmospheric, cozy and romantic 'Stube' style kitchen dining room with a traditional Austrian Kachelofen you could can enjoy leisurely breakfasts or home cooked meals in the fully fitted kitchen making it feel like home from home after a busy day sightseeing or taking part in many of the sporting activities on the doorstep.
The large sitting room which is light and airy with 4 windows allowing natural light to bathe the room, has Cable TV, DVD player and many books and games to pass the time if the weather is wet. With the 2 seater sofa beds it means that 6 can comfortably sleep in the apartment, and privacy is not a problem as there are curtains to close in the sitting room to close off the open plan living area.
The bedroom with its kingsized bed is quiet and comfortable with ample storage and with a newly renovated shower room with washbasin and WC and a separate WC, everyone will be provided for.
In the summer the apartment is cool place to escape the heat of Austrian summers but in the winter is it a cozy retreat to relax in after days sightseeing or skiing.

The apartment has a private entrance from the newly fenced and landscaped off street parking area which is next to a lawned and gravelled area where you can sit and enjoy the warm summers evenings. You can barbecue here with apartments BBQ.
There is also space to park bicycles securely.
Our home is linked to the apartment through an internal door but this will remained securely locked from both sides during any guests stay, for your peace of mind and ours.
For those guests staying longer than two weeks I provide a laundry service at a charge of 5Euro per wash

As the apartment is part of our family home we will be present during any guests stay however we would not impose ourselves upon them at all.
If they feel they require any information about the local area, things to do or see or recommendations of where to eat of course we will be more than willing to help out.
We will ensure that you are made aware of how everything functions in the apartment so that you can be self sufficient but of course if there are any problems we will be there to help you out.
We speak English, French and German.
Prior to you arrival I will request what you would like for you welcome gift
On arrival we will greet you, familiarize you with the apartment and the local area, give you a registration form to complete for the tourism office and request payment of the tourist tax (from October 2015)
Tourist tax : the tourist tax is 1.50€ per person (guests 15years and above) per night of your stay at our apartment.
This apartment is strictly non-smoking.
**Pets will be considered on a case by case basis as we have our own dog and children to consider. Please advise us if you have a pet you wish to bring during your stay and we will consider your request.
Guests access is limited to the apartment and garden next to the apartment and a parking place at the front of the house allocated to the apartment
Guests are not allowed to access the family home or grounds up the main external stairs unless they are invited.
Use of the pool that belongs to our private home is strictly forbidden for insurance purposes.
If rules regarding access to the pool area are disregarded guests will be ejected from the holiday apartment
No visitors other than listed guests will be allowed to enter the apartment unless prearranged with the owners. No overnight visitors other than those registered will be allowed!
