Our lovely 8 acre vineyard and charming two bedroom furnished guest cottage are a treasure! Its a dream destination ideal for couples visiting Yakima on a weekend-get-away or a vacation.
* Romance your honey on the porch or by the pond.
* Walk the vineyard to witness breath taking view of Mt. Adams as the sunsets.
* Tour Yakima's premiere wind country-- Rattle Snake Ridge and Naches Heights!
* Mountain bike the Cowiche Canyon. Play ball on the large lawns with your small dog.
* Wine and dine your sweetie at award winning Gasparetti's or Zesta Cucina!
* Tee off at the Apple Tree Golf Course!
All within 3-15 convenient minutes!

Please call Jenny, a day or two before your arrival, to set an estimated time. Then, on the day of arrival, call her at least fifteen minutes in advance of your arrival. We will meet you at the cottage, with goodies from the farm! This may include a bottle of wine from our vineyard, and farm fresh eggs!

We are available to help you after welcoming you to the property, although we generally disappear! One of your peacocks does not, he enjoys over-seeing the property! The sheep also enjoy grazing in the lush pastures by the pond. Twice a day, the irrigation on the property must be changed to support the vineyard and green pastures. This takes place early morning and at sunset.

Autres remarques

The cottage is a favorite place to stay for short and long term bookings. Short-term as defined as under 30 days. Long-term as defined as over 30 days.

A different set of terms are put into place for long-term bookings. A "special offer" will be made which summarizes those terms.

The following terms apply to ALL length of stays:
HOUSEKEEPING: There is NO daily housekeeping. In order to insure that the costs of cleaning are kept to a minimum, we ask that you attend to the following items before your departure. Failure to do so may result in money deducted from your damage deposit. Thank you so much for your cooperation!
BEDDINGS: Please strip beds and put all soiled linens (sheets/pillowcases and towels) in the white clothes hampers. (found inside built in wall closets) For stays over two months, guests are required to bring their own bedding/towels.
LAUNDRY: Please attend to any stains on bedspreads, mattress covers, upholstery or rugs when they occur. If you have no success in removing them, please call the OWNER at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), as soon as possible so that these items will not be permanently damaged.
MASTER SHOWER: Help us keep this shower sparkling new by using the squeegee to swipe down the glass after each use. Swipe it, similar to how you would a car’s windshield.
DISHES: Throughly wash dishes in sink and load into dish washer.
COUNTER-TOPS: wipe down all counter-tops and kitchen table.
KITCHEN TABLE: wipe down table tops making sure to collect crumbs into your hands.
FLOOR: sweep & mop kitchen floor (broom/mop can be found near ADT security alarm panel, mopping supplies are under the kitchen sink)
INSIDE OVENS: please clean up all spills.
REFRIGERATOR: Please clean spills or messes inside refrigerator and freezer
TRASH: Take out all trash (anywhere) to provided receptacles on side of yellow garage.
COMPOST: Dump compost into trash bag, dispose in binds on side of yellow garage.
GAS GRILL: Clean grill if used. Utensils to do so are provided near grill.
RETURN: All furniture, games, remotes etc. to original locations.
RUGS: Use portable “sweeper” to pick up crumbs on rugs. (located near alarm panel)
KEYS: Simple leave all keys on the island in the middle of the kitchen. Make sure to activate the locking device on the door handle when leaving!
THERMOSTAT: If you adjusted the thermostat beyond its original setting, please return it back to 62 degrees in winter and 78 degrees for cooling in summer.

Sunland Guest Cottage Rental Rules
RENTAL PARTY: The Primary Rental Guest who signs this Rental Agreement must be at least 25 years of age and must have appropriate identification. The rental party shall consist of the Primary Guest and up to three other persons, who are expected to abide by this agreement. Due to the open pond, no minors (under 18 yrs of age) are allowed on the property.

RESPONSIBLE PARTY: People other then those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of the Guest. Subletting or assignment of occupancy is prohibited.

UPKEEP OF PREMISES: RENTER shall keep and maintain the premises in a clean and sanitary condition at all times, and upon the termination of the tenancy shall surrender the premises to the OWNER in as good condition as when received, ordinary wear and damage by the elements excepted.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of guests in the cottage is 4. It has two bedrooms, both with queen size beds, and two bathrooms.

PETS: 1. Written permission to bring a pet, must be granted, prior to stay. 2. $35/day fee for cats/dogs.
3. Only animals under 18 pounds acceptable, no exceptions.
4. Dog can only reside in the “historic” section of the cottage. Dogs are not allowed, for any reason, in the new master suite.
5. Dog must stay off of all furniture, including beds.
6. Dog must be crated or locked in small bedroom at night (not allowed to roam)
7. Cottage must be spotless-- free of dog hair upon exiting. 8. All dog poop must be cleaned off of the lawn and disposed of in the trash.

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: Check in time is after 3:00PM (unless otherwise agreed upon. Please call Jenny @ (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) a day prior to your arrival to notify her of your expected time of arrival. Then the day of arrival, please call her a half hour prior to arriving)
CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE: Check out time is 11:00AM.

TELEPHONE: There is a telephone in the cottage. It is for local calls only. The number is (phone number hidden).

KEYS & GATE OPENER: If you have lost or misplaced the keys or gate opener, to the cottage please notify OWNER before using force to enter unit. A fee of $100.00 will be charged to make duplicate keys or to purchase a new gate opener. Please secure all doors and gates upon checkout, returning both items to the Owner.

RESTRICTIONS: Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere inside the cottage or on the premises. No parties are allowed. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

PARKING: Ample parking is provided behind secured gate. No motor homes, campers or travel trailers are permitted, nor the use of our utilities and facilities by the same.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS AND FIRE ESCAPE: In case of fire, there is a fire extinguisher underneath the kitchen sink and in the book shelf outside of the bathroom. Please familiarize yourselves with the equipment and escape routes.

POND: Hours of Operation: sunrise to sunset! Life vests are required when using the boats. (They can be found under the blue table on the front porch!) No minors at, in or around the pond.

SEPTIC SYSTEM: The Cottage is on a septic system. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other then toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine
products have been flushed that clog the septic system, you could be charged damages up to the cost of the repair.

REPAIRS AND DAMAGES: RENTER shall be responsible for damages or any breach of this agreement caused by his negligence or that of his family or invitees and guests. OWNER is not responsible for compensation of any part of rent, due to failure of fixtures, appliances, or utilities resulting in short term inconveniences. We do not anticipate any such occurrences as most of the appliances are new. All repairs will be attended to as soon as reasonably possible.

ORDINANCES & STATUES: RENTER shall comply with all statutes, ordinances and requirements of all Municipal, State and Federal authorities now in force, or which may become in force, pertaining to the vacation use of homes in Yakima County and in the State of Washington.

Julia's place was absolutely stunning! The property was perfect for a relaxing weekend while enjoying the great wines of Yakima. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This home is EXQUISITE with it's quaint, chic, well appointed furnishings and decorations and is in a DEVINE country setting. I was in town for business but this ended up being a RETREAT! Julia and her Mom Jenny were on hand or available via email to answer any and all questions. Jenny even drove us to the supermarket! Such a personal touch.... The pictures on the site were accurate, beds were comfortable, everything was clean, the kitchen and bathrooms well stocked. This was hands down one of THE best AirBnB experiences I have ever had. A definite "go back to" and highly recommended to all travelers seeking a sanctuary in Washington State!

A peaceful location close to store and shops. Comfortable beds and a lovely addition makes it very private for two couples. Our host was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

This was my second stay at the cottage and my husband and I will be going back again this summer if we can get it! Lovely place. Located on the west side of town on quiet acreage, it is seriously private and safe and only 2 minutes from Starbucks and groceries, etc. The master bedroom is a dream and I have said it before – I would live here if I could!

Jenny and Julia's cottage was a nice and serene place to stay a few days in Yakima. I was in town for work so didn't get to spend a lot of time on the property but there is a yard, deck, and even a pond to relax on the property. It even has its own gated access. The master bedroom has a luxurious bathroom and a great view of the pond. Jenny welcomed us at the property when we arrived to show us around and run us through the policies with farm fresh eggs and wine from her vineyard. From there we had full access and use of the cottage. I'll definitely be keeping it in mind for next year's hop harvest.

The house is very nice, especially the master suite with the remodeled bathroom. It had everything we needed and was very homely and we thoroughly enjoyed out stay.

What an absolute gem of a home! We were so comfortable and felt so blessed to be in such a wonderful place. The home has a lovely, old fashioned feel and character in parts of it, but also a stunning brand new master suite and bath, and all of the modern conveniences you could need. The property is large and private and unto itself, yet very close to stores, Starbucks, etc. There were sheep visiting in and out of the pasture, ducks in the gorgeous pond and a meandering peacock. Then there was Jenny - the star of all of it! She took such good care of us. I would live here if I could and will return as often as we can!
