Being an on-site host, we have a unique opportunity to help guests get the true local feel of this community. We would love to direct them to our favorite hikes, swimming holes, fishing guides, coffee shops, breweries, fine dining, area attractions and festivals. Most weekdays I am at the main residence and would love to chat with you about your days adventures over coffee if you choose!
Please note that while this basement is bright, it is a basement apartment - step outside and walk down the street and you will find views in all directions but not from your bedroom windows. Also, there is ONLY a shower accommodation - NO bath. There is only one traditional bed the additional bed is a hide-a-bed in the couch in the living area.
This space is below our home. You will occasionally hear footsteps and family life overhead. We try to keep our noise level down but our days usually start around 7am.
Welcome to our home! We want you to feel as comfortable as possible. We ask that you please be respectful that we live on the premises with two small children. Please be aware that we live above the space - we try to keep our noise to a minimum and respect the hours between 8pm and 7am. With two small children - you will hear activity above during the daytime. This is the perfect place to stay if you need a comfortable, clean, affordable place to lay your head so that you can get out and enjoy all that the beautiful Bitterroot has to offer during our long summer days!
Do not smoke indoors or outside on the property and keep the noise level down after 10pm and before 7am. We allow pets on approval.
I am passionate about this place. We feel so fortunate to be able to live, work and play in the Bitterroot Valley and love to share it with visitors! I worked for the non-profit, Bitter Root Land Trust, prior to my current role stay-at-home mom. I now serve on the Board of the Land Trust, committed to preserving the water, wildlife and working lands though private land conservation.
I spend most days biking and walking around town and to the river with my two young sons.
My husband and I love to travel. Together we have visited Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands, Belgium and France. I gravitate to cultural experiences and he tends towards nature and wildlife AND he is prides himself on his iron-gut and love of street food.
He is a native Montanan - he loves fly fishing, elk hunting, rafting, and bow hunting. We both love road tripping anywhere and everywhere in this beautiful state.
