A great place for a quick get away. Steve was welcoming and friendly -- the house is stunning and has a cool history too!

Cottonwood is a quiet, peaceful town. We enjoyed our stay here. The home is beautiful and very clean. There was more than we could eat at the continental breakfast the next morning. The train that goes through close to the house is annoying, but everything else is perfect.

Steve was more than accommodating, both with the amenities and especially check in. We stayed at Steve's place for a quick overnight stay while driving cross country and our arrival time changed quite a bjt...more than once. Steve was very understanding and met us at the house late night when we arrived to give us a short tour. Lovely home with beautifully renovated touches. The place was clean and comfortable and we couldn't have been more pleased. Would recommend this place to anyone!!

Beautiful historic home in a sleepy, idyllic little lake town. Charming and folksy host makes you feel right at home. Use of the full kitchen is a Godsend for gourmets like me, but the continental breakfast is more varied than what I've found at many a hotel! When you need to get away from it all, this is one place that really lets you unwind.

This is a beautiful and comfortable house -- high ceilings, spacious rooms, gorgeous woodwork and many original details. Appropriately furnished without stuffiness, with clean and comfortable beds, and Steve and Robin kindly provide a variety of breakfast options. There *are* quite a few trains running nearby at night, so if train noises bother you, bring earplugs or use the ones available here.... although we weren't bothered at all.

This was a perfect get away! Very comfortable accommodations. Robin's decorative touches were lovely and Steve was friendly, gracious and unobtrusive. I was visiting/hiking at state parks and it was nice to come to such a peaceful home each evening.

Steve and Robin are long-time residents of Cottonwood, MN. Steve works for the City of Cottonwood. They enjoy spending time with their grandkids and relaxing at the lake. They purchased the lovely Norseth Larsen House from the city after the local historical society was no longer able to care for it. It is now able to be enjoyed by the community as a bed and breakfast and a place to hold special events.
