This wonderfully renovated 2 bedroom studio offers amazing views back to the lighthouse. One of two properties set on 5 acres surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens Eastern Rise Studio offers guests a contemporary rural stay.

Eastern Rise Studio is a wonderfully renovated studio located in the Byron Bay Hinterland region with unsurpassed views back to the Cape of Byron and the Pacific Ocean. A large deck with movable shutters to sit on and enjoy the landscape and morning sunrises is located directly off the kitchen/lounge area with two generous size bedrooms both with Queen Size beds and open storage for easy holiday planning.

With amazing views looking at the Pacific Ocean and the Cape of Byron Eastern Rise is located in a small hinterland precinct called Montecollum, which is situated 5 minutes away from Mullumbimby. The following towns surround you and are all worth a visit.

Mullumbimby – 5 minutes North. Turn right out of the the property – Coolamon Scenic Drive will lead you straight into town where you will find all requirements from Grocery stores to coffee shops.

Byron Bay – 20 minutes East. Turn right out of the property drive about 3 kms, turn right at the golf course onto Manse Road. This will take you directly into Byron Bay.

Brunswick Heads – 15 minutes North East. Turn Right out of the property and drive into Mullumbimby. Turn right at the Post Office, cross the railway tracks and continue until the T Intersection (Uncle Toms pies should be right in front of you) Turn left. At the roundabout take the Brunswick Heads exit.

Bangalow – 15 minutes South East. Turn Left out of the property, travel along until you get to a T-intersection and turn left. Follow this to the Pacific Highway. Turn right onto the Pacific Highway then left at the Bangalow Turnoff.

The local newspapers will be delivered each week at the top of the road. They both contain local information about whats on.

Eastern Rise is an unattended property. Key access is via a master lock mounted next to the front doors. The code for this system will be made available to you once the booking has been confirmed via payment.

A house manual is available on AirBnb and at the property. Help is only a phone call or email away should you be having any difficulties or would like local recommendations.

Mullumbimby is no longer just a hippie town but a wonderful eclectic centre for health and wellness. With leading health retreats such as Mullum Sari and The Kiva Spa this town is leading the way with its natural offerings from organic providores, herbal dispensaries and natural therapies. Also now offering some of the regions best cafes and bakeries as well as the weekly Produce markets each Friday morning. Mullumbimby is mix of old town and new ways - a must experience! Most idyllic position and utterly stunning view. Very comfortable house and super comfy beds-blissful sleeps... Short drive to Byron Bay and surrounding towns and beaches. For our family, it ticked every box and some! Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Scenic views over Byron from tastefully decorated studio apartment. However situated only metres from a busy road so very noisy. Also concealed driveway was a bit of a challenge.

Genine was fantastic to deal with. I booked this for my mother and brother and they provided the following feedback. "We enjoyed a delightful few days together at this little gem - well designed, decorated and comfortable. The location is perfect in the Byron hinterland with a generous view east towards Byron Bay and the lighthouse. The deck is magical for early morning tea, bird song, reading and long G&T's in the early evening. A couple of minor inconveniences...not being able to lock the large sliding door due to damage to the lock, tourist brochures and reading magazines are a number of years old, CD player/stereo sadly was broken (however not a big issue as could play through DVD player). As mentioned by previous reviewers, the studio is next to a busy road, however we both enjoyed peaceful nights' sleep before the traffic began around 7am. Some morning music easily drowned this out while we enjoyed slow starts to the day in the spacious and relaxing living area and glorious verandah. Overall a delightful stay and a memorable and relaxing getaway!

Beautiful secluded place only 5 minutes from Mullumbimby and a scenic 20 minute drive to Byron Bay. The cabin itself is very tranquil with a stunning view over green farms towards the lighthouse in Byron. All in all an idyllic pet friendly escape to the country but still close to town for cafes and supplies.

Genine was lovely to deal with, the place was so beautiful and serence. The ladies I booked it for where so satisfied and absolutely loved it, I have already rebooked for December!
