Such a amazing experience! The hosts Mary Beth and Fred were so incredibly welcoming, very personable and so interesting to talk to. Mary Beth cooks the most delicious organic meals for breakfast and provides coffee, tea, and sweets whenever. The yurt was placed in a beautiful spot overlooking the forest. Inside was had all you needed and was super clean. I most definitely will recommend staying here.

CAN'T RECOMMEND ENOUGH! This was such an enjoyable, quiet, peaceful stay away from home, and just a few miles away from Historical downtown Dahlonega and a handful of wineries. Everything is described perfectly, and the location went above and beyond my expectations. The yurt itself was incredibly warm and comfy, and the mini-fridge and microwave was a plus. We also really appreciated the clean and warm private cedar bathroom. Fred and Mary Beth were wonderful hosts, and made us feel like we were back at our own parents' house. And my fiance and I are glad we took previous guests' advice - don't skip out on Mary Beth and Fred's breakfast. DELICIOUS!

We stayed in the yurt and it was fun and comfortable. It is located close to dahlonega and the start of 6Gap, so since we came for that it made it all very easy. The food was great!

We had such a great weekend getaway in the yurt! This truly was a great experience - from the delicious breakfasts to the cozy vibe of the yurt. The location is great - we were close to hiking and Fred and Mary Beth gave us great recommendations. They are warm and fun loving people and we are so glad we stayed with them

Fred and Mary Beth made me feel very welcome and they were both very nice to visit with in the short time I was there. I stayed in the Yurt which was quite comfortable, even in the August temps, I was out and about during the day. I am sorry to say I missed one breakfast, due to an obligation but the one I had was excellent. It was a great experience, it was a very relaxing weekend.

This is such a special place. I arrived with my very recent new boyfriend to have a bonding experience in the woods and it was far beyond what my expectations were. To be honest I didn't have any worries because I knew it would be great but the yurt itself is like a magical hut. Fred and Mary Beth were so kind! I loved hearing about how they met and their food was fantastic for breakfast the next day. The corn fritter and gluten free breakfast was out of this world! I think we will come here on our anniversary every year. You guys made our weekend! Thank you.

It was a lovely night away from a work conference. Yurt was clean and well appointed, bed comfortable. Fred and Mary Beth are lovely and phenomenal hosts. Would definitely come back, but probably once it started to cool down a little bit more and could enjoy more of the outdoors.

We have owned and operated, Cedar House Inn and Yurts, an eco-friendly bed and breakfast since 2003. We both received our permaculture design certificates and help others convert their lawns into edible landscapes like we have. We are committed environmentalists and tree huggers who care about the Earth and living in a sustainable manner. Fred is a retired corporate executive and college professor and Mary Beth a retired housewife and school teacher. When not working they like to camp in their yellow 1984 VW Westphalia Camper Van.
