A charming 1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage tucked in it's own private garden oasis in the heart of wine country. Filled with custom touches and modern amenities.

This charming garden cottage is tucked back in a private space behind a duplex in the heart of Sonoma's wine country. Enjoy vintage & custom built touches combined with modern amenities in a cozy space just 2 miles from downtown Sonoma and the famous plaza. The cozy bedroom has a queen sized bed. The full bath has a spacious shower and we provide amenities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The kitchen has an electric cooktop, vintage fridge and coffee maker. Although the house is ideal for a couple or family with young children we can accommodate up to 4 guests, as the sofa in the living room converts into a queen sized bed.

Guests can enjoy a glass of wine or s'mores by the fire pit or skip cooking indoors during the steamy Sonoma summer and take advantage of the outdoor dining area with gas grill.

We like to meet our guests and get them settled in to the home. We only live a few blocks away so we are available if you have any questions or concerns!

The home is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood close to a number of fun restaurants and grocery stores. The Sonoma Plaza, home to many great wine tasting rooms, restaurants and shops is just 2 miles away. If you stay at the home on a Tuesday night during the summer (May-October) don't miss the Farmer's Market held on the Plaza!

We have private off street parking at the cottage in the driveway. The home is located about 75 minutes from both San Francisco and Oakland airports. We recommend renting a car so you can enjoy everything that Sonoma wine country has to offer!

The cottage is located behind a duplex. The front home is rented year round so please respect the renters' privacy and space. The back unit of the duplex is a vacation rental. Guests staying at the cottage will pass by the outdoor space of the vacation rental home to access the cottage and may see other guests coming and going. The outdoor spaces of the 2 vacation rentals are separated by a gated fence. Please be considerate of our other guests when utilizing the outdoor spaces and keep noise (especially at night) to a minimum.

This airbnb is perfect for a weekend getaway in Sonoma! I arrived Friday and left Sunday afternoon. Although not in the heart of downtown, it is a quick taxi ride( 5 mins) ....lyft & uber rides are a bit out of the way. The house inside was beautiful although like others did explain the bed did make noise but wasn't uncomfortable to us at all ...same goes for the couch there was a metal bar when you sat on the you could feel it. Wasn't a deal breaker for us. We loved the fact that the cottage was in the back secluded and quiet. There was a small patio and little garden in front the the main door. Wifi worked fine stayed in one night and watched Netflix (on our laptop) and order Mexican food that was really close to the house! Mexican food was amazing. Also ate at the sunflower caffe definitely recommend for brunch! The host made check-in very easy. Overall we didn't have any problems with the stay or with the host. Her directions for check in and checkout were simple & to the point. I explained to her that we would be coming to celebrate my birthday and it was my first time to Sonoma. It would have been nice to arrive with a nice welcome.

Heather's welcome and check in information was very helpful. The cottage which i believe may have been converted from a garage or shed is about a 5 minute drive to Sonoma square. The finishes are very nice. We did not have any incidents until day 3 when the water heater went out at night. I waited until the following day to contact Heather (since it was late at night) and then a few hours later it was fixed. Unfortunately we had several other incidents during this trip such as having to kill multiple spiders daily in the house, having 1 towel per person for a 4 night stay, and running out of toilet paper (3 rolls for 2 people for a 4 night stay). While i could have continually messaged her for these things i honestly just felt that i shouldn't need to. Heather did acknowledge these issues and provided me a 15% refund, however the inconvenience of it all was a bit much, especially when on vacation. While i understand it's not a hotel, it's also not a hostel so some sort of basic amenities are expected, at least when I've stayed with friends at other Airbnb's. I attempted to recoup more through Airbnb, however since i did not take pictures or other proof they were not able to assist. My recommendation is to take pictures and video while you are on the property of any issues or just try to stay closer to the square.

I had extremely high hopes for this place as it had a 4 1/2 star rating and after combing through dozens of reviews seemed like it would be a great central location for our first trip to Napa Valley. The positives were that it was a good central location to all of the wineries that we had intended on visiting, it was clean and tastefully decorated. However, the negatives outweighed the positives. Having been in the hotel industry for over 6 years, one thing I learned was that it's all about the bed. It is such a shame that this place spent so much money on nice decorations and upgrades that make the cottage "look" nice and skimp on something like the bed. It was probably one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. You can tell how cheap it is when you sit or lay down on a bed and hear and fee the springs in the bed creaking and making noise. They tried to mask it with a cheap down mattress pad. The couch is also extremely uncomfortable, with either metal bars/solid wood supports that make the couch only sitable in certain positions. Also, I would mirror the previous reviews that said the host did not go out her way to make us feel welcome, nor was she readily available when we needed to get in touch. She only proactively reached out via a copy and pasted message in the Airbnb app (which is fine), but no other welcoming info day of checkin l, etc. (which I have received at other Airbnb stays). If you want a good location for driving around, it's worth considering if you aren't worried about sleeping comfortably.

We had a great stay at Heather's cute little cottage and it was comfortable for a couple. Check in was easy and the detailed instructions were perfect! The location is close to town. We definitely are hoping to stay there again.

Heather was an amazing host and super easy to get a hold of when needed. The house is small and quaint with everything you need for a weekend away. It is a short uber ride away from town center and vineyards. The garden was better than the pictures. We sat out with wine and a fire each night and enjoyed a photo shoot with the adorable pineapple palm tree. Thank you again for a great experience.

I really enjoyed staying at Heathers cottage, quiet and cozy. Situated in a perfect part of town, next to a cafe and a few general stores. Really enjoyed going for a run in the morning, lots of pathways to do so.

I am a Florida girl who met and married a Sonoma native, and now we have the pleasure of raising our baby girl in the beautiful Sonoma wine country!
After our daughter was born I left my career in the spa industry to be a stay at home mom. Over the last 2 years I have gone from renting just the cottage behind our home to managing 5 additional properties owned by my mother and father in law. We have build our own little "cottage industry" (no pun intended!). It is truly a family affair and I am so lucky to be able to spend time with my wonderful daughter and still enjoy being in the hospitality business!
