Our light filled contemporary home is nestled in the grounds of the 4 star Mulranny Park Hotel on the Wild Atlantic Way. The house is perfect for families looking for stylish comfort with adventure on your doorstep. Short stroll to world class beach, the greenway and local restaurants and pubs.
High ceilings, floor to ceiling windows make the living space light and airy.
On a sunny day, swing in the hammock and let your worries drift away. Listen to the breeze through the forest and chill on the deck, this really is a place to relax and unwind.
We love spending time in our home in Mulranny and we hope you do too....
Accès des voyageurs
Our home. The surrounding area including walks, beaches, mountains, the sea.... Mayo at its very best.
The hotel has a great bar, excellent restaurant and leisure facilities. The village has all you could ask for including a couple of shops and three cracking pubs.
Minimum 2 night stay.
There is no internet access at the house. There is free wifi available at the hotel, for those who need their digital fix.
There are two keys, one for the front door and one for the door directly into the living room. Both work so if the key doesn’t work it’s in the wrong lock!
The dull stuff:
The nearest big supermarkets are in Castlebar, there is Dunnes and Aldi / Lidl. There are condiments, herbs etc. in the kitchen, feel free to use them.
Water & Heat
The water may be switched off, to turn it on, turn the brass tap under the kitchen sink. You can check by turning on the kitchen tap.
The water heater is in the kitchen, switch the left hand dial to the tap icon and then time switch to its mid position (from off). Water for showers etc will be heated automatically when you run the hot tap (it’s a gas boiler, you can adjust the temperature of the water by adjusting the dial associated with the tap icon.
There is a decorative ‘fire’ in the living room, we never use (website hidden)
There are two devices attached to the TV, a Saorview box for the 5 TV stations (RTE 1, RTE2, UTV Ireland, TV3 and 3e), and a DVD player.
There should be some detergent in the boiler press, we just use the basic mixed wash, for more complicated features the manual is in the bottom drawer in the kitchen.
There should be some tablets in the boiler press. The machine is very quiet, but it takes a little time. Put in the tablet, select program and press go. Note; Dinner plates should be stacked in the lower drawer, facing backwards (they are too big if stacked facing forwards)
There is a green bin and a Blue bin at the back of the house. Green bin for recyclables. Blue for all other waste. Bin day is Tuesday (alternate weeks for Blue & Green – see schedule on bottom drawer). If full, please put out the bins, a tag is required for each bin, tags can be found in the bottom drawer.
