Aloha! Our newly remodeled one-bedroom condo is light and airy, a lovely place to come home to after exploring Kauai’s North Shore. Full kitchen, bath, large lanai, reserved parking space, shared pool, jacuzzi, BBQ grills. Near restaurants, shopping.

Le logement

Our newly remodeled condo has a comfortable California king bed, a full bathroom with tub, full kitchen including a dishwasher, large living/dining room with a queen-sized sofabed, washer and dryer and a large lanai with separate seating and dining areas. There is a large flat screen TV with cable, wifi Internet connection, games, puzzles, and books, and for the beach, chairs, umbrella, beach towels and boogie boards.

The condo is in Sandpiper Village which has an open layout with lawns and tropical landscaping. It includes a pool area with a large tiled pool, HOT jacuzzi, and two gas powered BBQ grills for your use. You can dine poolside at one of the many umbrella-covered tables or under the covered pavilion, or take your meal back to your place. There is one parking place reserved for your use.

We live in Berkeley, California, but if we are in Kauai during your stay, we will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. In our absence, our property manager will be glad to assist you.

Autres remarques

Because the apartment is in a condo complex, there are some things that are out of our control, such as unscheduled pool maintenance, in which case not only the pool but the jacuzzi and BBQ grills are unavailable.

As in most residences in Kauai, there is no air conditioning. During the late spring and summer months, in addition to the ceiling fan in the living room, a standing fan and a table fan are available for your use. Please turn them off when not in the condo.

Internet access is not 100% reliable--our provider, Oceanic Time Warner, occasionally does maintenance and high winds and/or storms can interrupt service as well.

The condo shares a wall with the unit next door. While we did put in extra soundproofing, it's not perfect. If you are planning on spending lots of time indoors, this may be a problem.

Cell coverage from within the condo (and in Kauai in general) is much better with Verizon than AT&T (don't know about other carriers).

Your total includes 4% General Excise Tax (Hawaii Tax ID GE-107-556-4544-01) and 9.25% Transient Accommodations Tax (Hawaii Tax ID TA-107-556-4544-01).

No smoking (not even on the lanai--you can step outside the driveway onto Pepelani Loop to smoke if need be). No pets. Sandpiper Village has residents as well as vacationers, so please be respectful of our neighbors and be quiet between 9 pm and 8 am. If you are staying longer than 3 weeks, there is a mandatory extra cleaning. Please observe the Hawaiian custom of no shoes in the house, and remove sand and mud before entering. The following will be deducted from the security deposit if lost: $25 for door key; $50 for pool key; $10 for parking pass.

We adored this apartment and the location was perfect for us! The north shore is so beautiful and it was amazing to be able to find an affordable and extremely clean place to make our stay while on the island! We loved that there was a guide to Kauai book we flipped through it a couple times and it was very helpful. We were worried coming here with no A/C but the fans were plenty fine and we had no issue with being too hot while in the apartment. We hope to come back one day or maybe even move there (we loved kauai that much!) I definitely recommend this apartment 5 stars!

Great location in Princeville area. A place for stress-free vacation. The only decision you'll have to make is about a beach you are going to. Try as many as you like - they are all worth it. The only good food in 10 mile radius is at the local supermarket. The restaurants are not worth trying, at least for food. A few places are good for a drink. Sarah's condo is clean, provides all promised amenities and totally is what you would like it to be. Don't expect great views but everything else is there.

Sarah's home was perfect. Highly recommend, it was very clean, equipped, spacious, and in a beautiful location. The communication was great between Sarah and I. The best place to stay in Kauai!

Sarah bájos lakása igazi otthonunk volt. Tiszta, jól felszerelt,kényelmes. Elhelyezkedése remek,kiváló kiindulópont az északi part felfedezéséhez. Esténként nagyon jól esett a mendence és jakuzzi mellett grillezni. Sarah remek házigazda, minden szükséges információval ellátott minket, roppant segítőkész volt. Mindenkinek ajánljuk eme lakást,ha a csodás Kauai-n járnak.

Clean, well equipped, comfortable. Its location is a great starting point for exploring the northern shore. In the evenings it was very good to grill beside the smile and the jacuzzi. My husband Rob is an architect/developer and I am recently retired from working in IT at a large northern California utility company. We knew each other in our early teens and remained friends into our 20s. In 2004 we ran into each other completely serendipitously and a few years later were married in our garden in Berkeley, surrounded by friends and family. We are both interested in art, architecture and music, where his tastes are classically inclined and mine tend more towards the Grateful Dead and lately, everything ukulele. We love hiking, reading, traveling and good conversation.

My first trip to Kauai was in 1975 and it was love at first sight. Smitten, and haunted by memories of green and blue and rainbows and Bali Hai, I moved there in 1977, just in time for my twin daughters to be born at Wilcox Hospital in Lihue. We ended up moving back to the mainland a year later, but in the intervening years, we vacationed there many times as a family. One of the twins eventually heeded the island's call and in 2012 moved to Princeville with her husband and family. (You could probably count on one hand the number of days they have not been at the beach or on a wave since moving!) I hope to persuade my city-loving husband to consider retiring to Kauai. So far he has promised me a month per year. That's a star
