This 1850s farmhouse sits amidst thousands of acres of State forest. Atop a hill you'll have a 360 degree view of mountains- not another home in sight. Enjoy meals at the picnic table and nightly bonfires. Unwind and make yourself at home.
Drive up, open your car door and take in the fresh air, and sweet silence only broken with the sounds of running streams, birds and rustling trees. This has been our home away from home for twelve glorious years where we have enjoyed sharing it with friends and family. We welcome you to experience our beloved getaway, the wonderful surrounding community and activities.

When you rent our entire home you'll have complete privacy. You will receive keys, instruction manual, maps and of course have access to us via phone, email or text should you have any questions. On some occasions you will be met by ourselves or neighbors but for the most part you'll turn the key and make yourself at home!
We have received excellent reviews hosting our NYC apartment on airbnb. Our only cancellation was due to a notice that construction (noise) would be started on the rear exterior of the building.
Please remember that our home away from home is an 1850's farmhouse. Upgrades and our cleanliness make it comfortable- but it's not perfect. There are cracks and creaks that you have to be up for. Think of it as luxury camping as bugs, insects can manage their way in at times. No bears yet!
Hard rules include:
Linens and towels provided
No indoor smoking
No candles in bedrooms
No cats (allergic- sorry)
Dog by written permission only
Removal of all trash and food items upon departure

I love coffee, food and wine. My favorite travel destinations are the Caribbean, Latin America and Italy. When we travel we never have a schedule or itinerary but are more interested in blending in experiencing our new environs as close to possible as the locals do. We strive for an authentic experience and in turn are a very hospitable couple and we love to entertain and cook for friends.
