The house has a resident manager Oscar who will look after you during your stay and arrange delivery of water and in case of power cut diesel for the generator. (Charged in addition at cost)
Walking down the beach to the local fishing villages in either direction is the perfect way to end the day as the sun goes down. In complete contrast 25 minutes away there is the West Hill shopping Mall, the largest in West Africa, which is the easiest place to pick up groceries. Krokobitee (15 minutes) is good for local nightlife, and Accra, Ghana's capital city is less than 45 minutes away.
A taxi is the easiest way to travel and is inexpenisve. Otherwise we can put you in touch with a local hire car company who can rent you a car and driver for air port pickups or by the day.
The house is not on a water pipeline and all water is brought in by tanker, and as a result is very precious. As water usage varies so much according to occupancy we don't include water in the cost of the rental, and ask visitors to buy their own water. This will be organised through Oscar who will arrange to have the tank filled prior to your arrival, but would ask that you would have the Cedis equivalent of £40 to give him on arrival. Further water supplies will be arranged by Oscar at cost. The tank holds around 2500 gallons.
The house is connected to mains electricity, and is fully air conditioned. However this is Africa, and subject to intermittent power cuts. We do have a back up generator which runs off diesel, however we ask visitors to choose if they wish the generator to be turned on and pay for the diesel consumption which works out at around £3 per hour.
The upper terrace is not suitable to be used by children owing to the large gaps between the tension wires that act as a balustrade. Maximum occupancy is 10 unless prior arrangement + a maximum 10 additional visitors on site at any one time
