Private and entire apartment. Please note there is no lift and you have to walk several flights of stairs. The view and location is worth the effort, but would not suit disabled or infirm.
Flat is our holiday home, and is set up for our guests, with fully vacant storage, empty wardrobes, empty cupboards and fully stocked kitchen, cooking equipment, tableware, appliances and luxury furnishings. We do not store our personal items and you will have full access. Dedicated WiFi provided. Clean laundry, bedding and towels supplied and fitted. Just like a hotel, but bigger and better.

Apartment is our private holiday home (owned by my wife, Sheila) and we are non resident. Our permanent home is in Aberdeen. You therefore have it to yourself to enjoy. Otherwise, we are very happy to answer your queries and provide local recommendations. I will also arrange your check in. We employ a local agent to meet guests and to arrange cleaning and laundry.
Perfect for shopping, eating, walking and entertaining. Enjoy the history, grand architecture, museums, beautiful landscapes and vibrant culture. Catch the comedy and main festivals in August or Christmas and New Year celebrations. Walking tours are great fun and small groups often gather in the courtyard to the rear of the apartment - "Gardyloo!". The Castle and Royal mile are on the doorstep, bus tours a stone throw. Literature, music, rugby, dance, theatre, blues and jazz festivals to enjoy and so much more. The University and Meadows area are also a short walk. Check "The List" Edinburgh and other monthly listings for events, online.
Edinburgh is a magical place, all year round. We hope you enjoy it.
Best to arrive by train and short walk from Waverley train station. Also easy and inexpensive via tram from airport or bus arriving on Princes Street, then short walk to the apartment.
Car parking can be hard to find and expensive and the flat does not have a dedicated parking spot. Paid overnight parking is available at nearby Waverley (Apcoa Parking) or the Q-Mile secure parking next to the University district. But best to book ahead. Or for long term parking I recommend the airport tram for park and ride.
Tourist information and bus tours are available round the corner and at Waverley. Also very good bus connections nearby on Princes Street and St Andrews Square. Stirling, Glasgow, St Andrews and East Neuk of Fife are good days out and available on nearby trains.
Walking tours are great and popular, available on the Royal Mile including Literary, Pub and Historical tours. The Witchery Tour is very entertaining - they have a ticket shop on Victoria Street by the Grassmarket. Calton Hill and Arthurs Seat are also easy walks with great City viewpoints.
I will contact you promptly to ensure you have the check in details, directions and my recommendations.
No smoking, pets or parties allowed. Please respect our holiday home and neighbours like you would your own. And please keep the flat clean and tidy. Thank you.
