My friends and I really enjoyed our time staying with Edgar and Peter! They were very friendly, helpful, and cheerful even at the early morning hours! The new place was very nice. A little far from the center but nothing a nice 15 minute walk can't solve. Thanks for the wonderful experience! It was really lovely getting to know there! I would absolutely stay here again!

Edgar was so kind to wait for us at the busstation and brought us to hotel Lino. (great place and nice people, very clean rooms, and great breakfast) but 3 days later it worked out that we had to pay for the breakfast and altough Edgar said it was included. his proposel for the Santacruz trekking was far more expensive than other agencies.

Edgar was very welcoming. He gave us some tips on where to go around huaraz and also showed us some places for hiking nearby. The location was good. The hostel is about a 5 minute walk to the main street with shops. Some smaller shops and a pharmacy are even closer.

My friend and I stayed at Santa Cruz treks hostel for 5 nights. It's a nice self catering option for the budgeting backpacker, as there is a partially equipped kitchen (no refrigerator) so you can prepare your meals. We felt safe in the area and were conveniently located in walking distance to the main square. You can book tours to some of the popular day hikes/multi day treks right there in the hostel with Edgar or even get ideas from him on how to go do hikes on your own. The hostel isn't plush and can be a little loud, as people may be up early preparing to depart an early morning trek, as expected for the lower budget/trekking hostel! Thanks Edgar!
