Le logement

This is the most relaxing beach house in Sorrento! An original 1960s Beach Shack in the best, front beach location.

A 5 min walk (150m) to the famous Tideways beach and 5 mins (100m) to the equally famous Sorrento Sailing & Couta Boat Club. Sorrento Township shops are a 2 minute drive offering all your daily shopping needs as well as fabulous fashion, restaurants, cafes etc. Very close to golf courses, Hot Springs and wineries.

This classic beach house sleeps 6 people in comfort, so perfect for a wonderful family get together. It is newly furnished and designed to accommodate both adults & children. There are 3 bedrooms, an open-plan lounge area, dining area, outdoor deck with table tennis, large front balcony to sit and relax, bathroom and ensuite. There is a beautiful inviting open fireplace, with plenty of wood provided and ample off street parking. The house is on a very quiet cul de sac with no noise to wake you in the mornings.

The main bedroom has a King-sized bed with small ensuite. The two other bedrooms sleep two in each in bunk beds.

It has some of the modern conveniences, but not all, deliberately.

The kitchen is original 1960s with the original electric oven and electric stove - 47 years old! They both work well - better than some 47-year old people I know - but they are old and need to be handled with care and tenderness. They are part of the family and character of the house. The remainder of the appliances in the kitchen are new - SMEG retro fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine (supply own pods). There is no dishwasher. The dining area, seating 6, is adjacent the kitchen and overlooks the tranquil back yard.

The open-plan living area features a 55" flat-screen TV, DVD player and open wood fireplace.

There is a large laundry, which includes a huge 7.5kg Bosch clothes washer and dryer.

All beds have pillows & doonas, just bring your own linen (top and bottom sheets, pillowcases and towels). Alternatively, linen and towels can be provided at a cost of $20 per single bed and $30 per king and $10 per towel .

Available for both long and short term stays during peak and off peak times.

The proximity to the beach and tranquility of the house and environs. The peace and quiet and the relaxing feel of the house. A wonderful blend; and all in the environs of a 1960s beach shack.


Public bus at the end of the street; runs along Nepean Hwy.

Run to the Sorrento Backbeach is 3.2 kms or less than 20 mins. Or go down Tuckey Track to the backbench and walk or run along the entire length of the Ocean Beach Reserve - from Portsea to Cape Schanck - a spectacular walk.

Hiring of linen for your stay can be arranged. Please contact host.

On departure, please ensure that the house is as clean as you found it, including cleaning the fireplace if this was used and all kitchen appliances. The house will be cleaned after your departure, but excessive cleaning may incur an additional cleaning fee.

No schoolies, loud parties or unaccompanied children. No pets and please take care with the floors and furniture. They are new. It is a family house and a family area. It's been in the family for over 40 years and, as you would see, we have looked after it.
