Sadly, we don't live in Kalkan, however the Mediterranean development has on-site staff who maintain the pool and gardens and we employ a local Management team, lale Homes, to make you feel very welcome and keep the apartment clean. A member of the Lale Homes team will send you instructions to access a keybox at the property, and can come and meet with you on the first morning of your holiday to answer any questions and give you general information about Kalkan. They are contactable during your holiday and can deal with any queries you may have re the apartment during your stay and will try to get them sorted for you. They can also arrange airport transfers, car hire, excursions and call taxis and local restaurants etc. to make reservations for you should you wish – advisable in high season.
Choosing to stay at Elmas Yildiz therefore offers piece of mind, in the absence of a host, as there is access to local management contacts.
The apartment is air-conditioned, and being newly refurbished comes very well equipped. There is a CD player and docking station, a TV hooked up to a DVD player with a small library of CDs & DVDs to suit all tastes and there is also a selection of books, from which you are free to make a swop with your own. We provide all linen, towels and even pool/beach towels. Cleaning and laundry is included in the you pay and there is a washing machine provided for guests use.
Our primary rule is that we ask that our guests are respectful. Respectful of the other holiday makers and owners, respectful of the Pool Rules, respectful of the accommodation they are staying in and respectful of our Management company staff.
Our apartment is non smoking and we do not allow pets.
Kalkan has a lot of wonderful street animals that rely on visitors for food and water. We would ask that our guests do not encourage the animals into the property or onto the garden furniture but if they want to feed them that they do so away from the property.

My husband Paul and I live in rural North Shropshire with our two teenagers, two Weimaraners and rescue cat Molly. Having lived and worked in Berkshire and Surrey for a number of years we made a 'new life in the country' in 2005, taking on a large renovation project (which still keeps us busy!) We love having a better work life balance here in Shropshire and now have the time to enjoy long walks, play golf, and follow the children in their chosen sports of rugby and athletics. We all love travelling and Paul and I have been fortunate, through work and holidays, to have visited varied and interesting places. Family holidays for the last few years have taken us to Turkey, and in 2014 we came across the gem that is Kalkan, and it was love at first sight!
