At the end of 2009 we succumbed to temptation and bought one of the loveliest houses in SW France in an auction. The Hôtel de Cours de Thomazeau is a Monument Historique and most of the property was uninhabitable, much of it was dangerous.
In September 2010 we opened the house to the public for the first time during the European Heritage weekend and have continued to welcome friends both long term and new to our home ever since.
Almost 2 years ago we bought the former coach house just across the road. The entire building was dangerous! Under layers of plaster we uncovered C15th graffiti and couldn't believe our luck. That was until about 6 months ago while working on an unstable wall we came across a silk purse filled with 45 Spanish gold coins dating from the late 1500's.
We have dedicated our lives to this extraordinary place, we would like to invite you to share our magical home in the centre of a medieval French bastide town.
