À propos de ce logement
Our updated 1987 25' vintage Airstream trailer is located in a grove of Aspen trees next to the North Fork of the South Arkansas River high in the Rockies. Enjoy your morning coffee listening to the rush of water or rustling of the Aspen leaves.
The Airstream in the Aspens 2017 season will be first weekend in June to end of Sept. Due to our 8,300 foot altitude, we are dependent on when the last snow falls and freezing temps are behind us. We've had tons of snow this year so the stream is high.
Experience the joy of the Airstream in the Aspens lifestyle in our outdoor wonderland. You can enjoy our landscaped patio with a fire pit. Firewood included. No license required to fish in our stream. We provide a barbecue for outdoor cooking. We're currently eating our way through Salida and Poncha Springs to be able to give you our food and beverage reviews.

When we travel without our trailer, my challenge is to find lodging that is under $65 a night. Yes, they are still available. We've stayed in rooms behind restaurants, in a former Brothel in Cripple Creek, that had the squeakiest floors and mattress ever, hostel in Costa Rica, a hotel that was being renovated and just had completed a couple of rooms. We Airbnb'ed in Juneau, Alaska and loved it. The list goes on forever.
The Van's have tent camped, open air camped and had travel trailers. My dream was to have an Airstream. After a long search, we purchased our dream vintage Airstream trailer 3 years ago. The mauve interior and fake wood floor had to go! It has been lovingly restored. Check out the yellow marmoleum floors and red recycled leather sofa.
Our second dream purchase was a log home in the Rocky Mountains in an aspen grove next to the Little Fork of the South Arkansas River.
We are so excited to be able to share our Airstream on a little slice of heaven we call home.
Please come and enjoy an evening by the fire, listen to the rushing water and relax.
As a nod to my $65 a night lodging quest, you will find a few $65 a night specials.
The Airstream will be available from May 15 to September 3.
