À propos de ce logement

Located in the Usk Valley, at the heart of the Brecon Beacons, Clwyd-y-Dwyrain is surrounded by the most magnificent scenery. The house provides a great base to explore the surrounding area.

Le logement

The house is generously proportioned with ample space for six guests (1 x king bed, 1 x double bed, 2 x single beds). There is also a cot available in one of the bedrooms.

The accommodation to the ground floor briefly comprises:
Conservatory - A beautiful wooden conservatory which ‘wraps’ around the front of the house with two sets of double doors opening onto the private patio and gardens. Spectacular views towards Tretower castle and the countryside beyond can be enjoyed from the conservatory. Dining table for 6 people and ratten style lounge furniture.

Entrance Hall - Stairs to first floor and lower ground floor.

Family Room - Double doors with glazed side panels to conservatory. Radiator. Minster fireplace with inset gas fire.

Lounge/Dining Room - Windows to three aspects. Minster fireplace with log burning stove. Sofa area and another dining table for 6 people.

Kitchen - A comprehensively fitted kitchen with a range of solid wood fronted base and wall cupboards. All appliances can be found!

Utility Room - Washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board for your use.

Shower Room - Pedestal wash hand basin. Low level W.C. Fully tiled corner shower.

The accommodation to the first floor briefly comprises:
First Floor Landing
Master Bedroom - A very generously sized ‘L’ shaped room with windows to front and side with views. Emperor bed.

Spacious ‘Jack and Jill’ Bathroom - This spacious bathroom can be accessed either via double doors from the master bedroom or a door from the landing. to rear. Suite comprising corner bath, low level W.C, bidet and wash hand basin.

Bedroom Two - Spacious bedroom with twin beds and built in wardrobes.

Bedroom Three - Double bed.

The house is approached via double gates leading to a driveway with parking for several cars and bordered by mature trees. Lawned gardens lie to the front of the house adjoining the stone patio. A path leads to a private garden to the side of the property. To the rear of the house is a landscaped garden with mature plants and a water feature together with the garage where your dog can stay.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

On booking you liaise with Marlene and she will arrange an arrival time and any specific set up requirements. You will be shown around by either Marlene or David. Once you're settled and comfortable, the only interaction is driven by you if you wish to get in touch. There is no permanent resident at the property.

Autres remarques

The house is fully equipped with linens and towels. Please note that guests are required to strip the beds when they depart. There is also a cot available upon request (no linens and no bumper). Fire wood is provided - if you use it please make sure that you leave £10 for it on departure. The house also comes with a BBQ for use in the summer, though please note you will need to provide your own charcoal.

The house has been furbished to the highest possible standards and we expect our customer's behaviour to reflect this. We kindly request that guests do not smoke in the house and that they leave their shoes in the utility room as these do not mix well with the cream carpets! Dogs are welcome, however they must sleep in the garage which is located to the rear of the property.

The place was lovely, big, clean and really easy to get to. Definitely close to where we needed to be for the weekend. Would have loved to stay longer as it's a perfect place to relax. The host was helpful and responded quickly to any inquiries we had.

We had an amazing time at this place. Location is perfect for exploring breacon beacons and a delightful medievil castle and court a stones through from the house. The rooms are lovely and have everything needed plus clean and cozy. We loved the garden and enjoyed the long summer nights watching the shallows swooping high and low. All in all a great stay. We couldn't be happier

Good location for hiking the Brecon Beacons, beautiful little village and the house is well kept and big. It was great value for money and had everything we needed. The decor is 80s Kitsch, not to everyones taste but if you do like it, the pink bathroom is a particular treat!

Stunning views, spotlessly clean house, comfortable beds. Great location from which to explore the surrounding area as well as attend the Hay Festival. Watch out for the chandelier in the conservatory which is at the perfect height for hitting unwary people, and the carpet at the foot of the stairs. The entrance to the house is a bit hidden until you figure it out.

The place was amazing. Nice area, very clean property and a very nice host. However, we haven't meet the host but she have managed for our check-in and checkout very well. She was also so nice even after we told her that there was a small damage in one of the dressers in the house. Also the amount she asked for to repair the dresser was very reasonable. I honestly expected her to ask for more than what she have asked for. Definitely worth the price.
