Our Mauka Studio is one of two studio suite rooms we have listed for our guests to enjoy. Mauka, meaning "mountain view" in Hawaiian, doesn't disappoint with sweeping sunset views of Pearl Harbor. (UPDATE APRIL 2017: NEWLY RENOVATED. We've been listening to our guests on how to make the place better. We've renovated our rooms to hardwood flooring, added some soundproofing to the walls, and added a window for better ventilation to make your stay more enjoyable.)
Our Makua studio room comes with your own private entrance from your own lanai (patio) where you can enjoy the wonderful view of Pearl Harbor. We live separately upstairs on the second floor. From the street, there is a flight of stairs to get to the rooms. There are two completely separate studios next to each other, each with its own private entrance and private bathroom. This studio is the one on the left when facing the house. The studio is 10 x 18ft and comes with a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, tea, dishes, an iron, a hair dryer, closet, a full size mattress, earplugs, soap, and clean fresh linen and towels. We also have a combo lock for the keys so late check-in is not a problem. There's also very fast wifi to enjoy your Netflix after a full day around the island. We also have some boogie boards, beach chairs, beach mats, snorkel and other goodies to enjoy the beach!
Accès des voyageurs
Guests have access to their own private studio with private entrance and bathroom. The lanai (patio) is shared between the two adjacent studios.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We rent out both studio rooms downstairs so you get to enjoy fellow travelers touring Hawaii. We are also home most days and available for questions and needs.
We've had some complaints with noise so unfortunately we do not allow guests with babies or pets.
Absolutely no smoking on the property, this includes inside the room, outside on the lanai (patio), and the stairs leading to the house. If you need to smoke, please do it on the sidewalk away from the house.
