This much loved, family home is ideally located on one of the few natural white sand beaches on the Big Island. The house was built in '93, but the property has been in the family for over 80 years and provides a rare opportunity to experience Hawai'i as it once was while still enjoying the luxuries of modern life. The house measures over 2,400 sq ft and offers 4 large bedrooms each with its own ensuite bathroom, view and lanai access. A sprawling lawn leads directly out onto the beach.

Le logement

This is an ideal vacation spot for an extended family or group of friends. The beautifully landscaped 20,000 square foot lot offers lava rock walls for privacy and many mature plumeria trees for lei-making. Each bedroom in the main house has its own full-bath, ocean view and lanai access. The Ohana (Guest) House also has its own full bathroom as well as its own kitchen, living and dining area and offers stunning mauka views of Mauna Kea.

Waialea Bay (aka Beach 69) is a protected wildlife preserve and offers some of the best swimming, snorkeling and surfing on the island. Waialea Bay is located on the Kohala Coast between Puako and Hapuna Beach--just 15 minutes from the finest resorts for dining, shopping, golf, luaus, and other activities.

THIS IS A LICENSED VACATION RENTAL. OWNER IS REQUIRED TO PAY HAWAII STATE TAX. 4.167% General Excise + 9.25% Transient Accommodations Tax will be added to your nightly rate.

CONSERVATION OF UTILITIES All occupants must use due care in conserving the utilities. The water shall not be left running for an unreasonable length of time and care will be taken in turning off the lights and electrical devices. Please conserve utilities. Excessive use of utilities could be deducted from the security deposit.

DISCLOSURE OF FIRE HAZARDS & PROHIBITION AGAINST EXPLOSIVES AND OPEN FIRES. The GUEST OCCUPANT hereby acknowledges that the subject property is in a fire hazard area and that occupants must use due care in handling any and all flammable substances. Moreover, no explosives shall be allowed on the property, including without limitation, fireworks. Additionally, no open fires are permitted on the property.

OCCUPANTS agree to keep the in clean, neat, safe and in good order and pay for any damages caused by misuse or neglect. If any defect in the unit should be promptly reported to the owner's managing agent. OCCUPANTS agree to leave the unit in clean and neat condition upon vacating. The security deposit may be used to cover cleaning costs which are over and above the normal and average cleaning bill.

INSECT CONTROL- The owner retains the services of a professional pest control company for the purpose of maintaining insect control in and around the premises, on a regular basis. However, we are in the "Tropics" and insects can be resistant to complete eradication. We cannot guaranty complete control over Mother Nature's insects and will not issue any refunds due to the sighting of insects.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY The maximum number of people (including children) allowed to occupy the premises is 10 persons. Any additional guests to occupy the premises at any time must be approved by the manager.

NO ALTERATIONS You are not allowed to make any holes in the walls, floors or ceilings or use any adhesives or like items. No rearranging of furniture. All indoor and outdoor furniture must be left in its original place.

NO DISTURBANCES, NO PARTIES, NO WEDDINGS You are not allowed to disturb others, or keep the neighbors from enjoying their premises or any common facilities at any time. You are not allowed to play loud music, loud instruments, or cause any type of loud or offensive sounds. No parties or weddings are allowed. Violation will be subject to forfeiture of the security deposit .

NO PETS OR ANIMALS No pets or animals are allowed. Pets and animals include, but are not limited to birds, fish, guinea pigs, cats, rats, rabbits, mice and dogs.

NO SMOKING IN THE BUILDINGS This is a "non-smoking" rental. No smoking is allowed on the property.

The property is magical with sounds of birds, waves, smell of plumeria and gardenia, greeting from little discrete geckos, tropical fish after a short snorkel, and so much more.... The most magnificent sunset and a welcoming sandy beach as your backyard that is always there to remind you to take a little dip. A memorable family reunion for us.
