My latest and greatest favorite spots:

Sushi: Furusato on 2424 Kalakaua Ave. You will not be disappointed, the food is super super fresh and the toro will make you cry. Amazing.

Organic Food: There is a hidden gem in Waikiki called "Heavenly." Breakfast and brunch and lunch and dinner - all amazing. Locally sourced everything, I have never had better, more fresh food in Waikiki. It's in a weird spot on 342 Seaside Ave in a hotel but it is a true hidden gem. For those of you who don't like organic for whatever reason - give this place a try you will not leave hungry. Portions are robust and the food is delicious.

Beach Bar: Dukes is an institution here in Hawaii. It's in the Outrigger hotel on Kalakaua street. Only about 5 minute walk from the condo.

Transportation: Having a rental vehicle is preferable in order to get around Oahu. You can always use Uber for short hops or use the The Bus system. There are always shuttles or tour buses, and trolleys available to get around.
Suggested Driving Tours

There are two driving tours on Oahu. You can combine the two if you want, but it is better to split them especially if you make frequent stops and want some beach/dining/shopping time.

1. Mini-circle island tour.

Start in Waikiki:

Diamond Head Lookout & Lighthouse on Diamond Head Road.

Continue on Diamond Head Road. When Diamond Head Road turns to go around Diamond Head, go straight on Kahala Ave. This will go through a residential area with nice houses. (Note): You can also take Diamond Head around to the entrance to Diamond Head. Even if you cannot do the hike, you can go through the tunnel into the crater to see what it looks like. Turn around just before the pay booth. Also Kapiolani Community College (KCC) has a nice cactus display. KCC is almost straight across from the entrance to Diamond Head.

After about 2 miles on Kahala Ave, turn left onto Keala'olu Ave (just before Kahala Hotel & Resort, formerly Kahala Mandarin).

Take Keala'olu Ave to Kalaniana'ole Hwy (72).

Continue around island to Hanauma Bay (don't need to go to the visitors center). You can get some excellent views & pictures from the steps and lookouts that go up and to the left of the visitors center. $1 for parking.

Continue to Halona Blowhole and Halona Cove (From Here to Eternity Beach) next to it. Halona Blowhole lookout also overlooks Sandy Beach.

Sandy Beach - Nice beach.

Makapuu Lighthouse Trail - Just past Sandy Beach and just after the road turns inland, look for a gate and a paved trail on the right. Trail is about 1 mile one way. You can often see whales from near the lighthouse.

Continue to Makapuu Pt. Lookout. Overlooks Manana (Rabbit) Island &Makapuu Beach &Sea Life Park.

Continue to Waimanalo Bay Recreation Area (just past Waimanalo Beach). Scenic isolated beach (just before Bellows AFB). Bellows Beach is also nice. Open to the public on weekends.

Continue to Highway 61 (Pali Highway). Make a left onto Pali Highway. Take it back to Honolulu, stopping at Pali Lookout.

Note: If you were to make a right onto Pali Hwy (63), you could go to Kailua and Lanikai Beaches. You can stop there with either tour.

2. Circle island tour.

Take Pali Highway (61) across to Kaneohe. Stop at Pali Lookout.

Continue to Kaneohe. Make a left onto Highway (83) to Kaneohe (or go straight if you want to go to Kailua and Lanikai Beaches).

At the far side of Windward Mall in Kaneohe, make a left onto Haiku Road. Take Haiku Rd. across Kahekili Highway to Haiku Gardens. The botanical garden is just below Haleiwa Joe's Restaurant. Nice small Botanical garden with a Koi pond. It's free.

Go back to Kahekili Hwy. Turn left. Go about two miles. Turn left into Valley of the Temples (Byodo-In Temple). Very Scenic.

Back to Kahekili Hwy. Continue around the island. In a mile or so Kahekili Hwy will end and intersect with Kamehameha Hwy (83). Continue around the island to Haleiwa.
Just before Haleiwa, make a left onto the bypass to Honolulu. (Go through Haleiwa if you have more time). Take Highway 99 to Honolulu. Follow signs to Honolulu.

Early Check Ins/Late Check Outs:

Please understand that it is very hard for us to accommodate an early check in or a late check out. Our units are often booked back to back and my cleaners are on a tight schedule; in order to have our guests check in early, my previous guests have to leave earlier than they planned or my cleaners have to rush. The 5 hour window we have to turn around the homes is a well orchestrated symphony of keys, lockboxes, parking spaces and cleaning crews.

I wish I could accommodate the travel schedules of every single one of my guests, but it turns into a logistical nightmare for my team when I start making exceptions. I hope you understand :)

If the unit is ready any earlier than 4:00, my property manager Heidi will contact you to let you know. Thanks in advance for understanding.

Please do not smoke in the apartment or leave food out. The building has regular pest control, but in a warm climate it is never a good idea to leave food out. There are plenty of cabinets and tupperware for you so not to worry.

We stayed at this apartment for one week during our first visit to Oahu and it was a fantastic experience! The location is awesome - walking distance to the beach, the zoo and lots of fun activities. It's also a short drive to the Diamond Head hike which we really enjoyed. We really appreciate how kids friendly this place is. It's very clean, and the portable crib was a huge help! Brynn is very responsive to our needs and made us feel at home. We look forward to coming back in the future.

Great condo in a great location! The location was central to everything and very close to the beach. The owner greeted us with beautiful leis upon our arrival. The condo was nicely furnished and felt very cozy. There were plenty of beach towels, beach bag, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and body boards. The bed was oh-so-comfy with great linens and nice pillows. We were always comfy in the warm weather due to either the AC or ceiling fans in either room. We made great use of both the dishwasher and washer/dryer in the unit. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the essentials including a great coffee maker and fabulous blender (perfect for our daily fruit smoothies). Light condiments, cleaning supplies, toiletries, detergents, etc., were all available in the rental. I would definitely stay here again! ☺

I have never used a airbnb before so I wasn't really sure what to expect but staying st Brynnes place was amazing!! It was a 5 min walk to the beach and had everything we needed like a parking space, fully functioning kitchen and having a washing machine and dryer which really helps when you travel. &5 was clean and wonderfully presented. The communication with Brynn was so quick and she was so helpful. I would definitely recommend staying there to everyone.

Our Honolulu home away from home. We spent 5 weeks at Brynn's and it felt like "our" place the entire time. The place is fully stocked - high quality shampoo, soaps, cleaning supplies, first aid kit, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella. The kitchen is ready to go. We went to Safeway and stocked up and prepared our own meals. The bed is comfy. The balcony is larger than it looks. Access to gated parking if needed. Short walk to beach. We also spent far more time at the pool than we anticipated but it's a great pool (mostly have it to yourself). We would have no hesitation staying here again.

This place was amazing. It had everything you could possibly need and more. They have definitely made it feel very cosy and added little touches that make you feel very special. We chose Brynn's apparetment because we needed a kitchen because we were going to bring our little bub on the holiday. The appartment is a walking distance from everything and if you are all walked out there is also a bus stop just a few moments away. Brynn and Heidi have been extremely helpful and great to deal with. Very thoughtful and accomodating. I will definitely be staying here again when i return to hawaii. Thanks again ladies.

I've been a DC resident for over 7 years! I am a Capitol Hill attorney with an entrepreneurial streak. I was the kid in the neighborhood who sold pizza instead of lemonade cause I thought my neighbors needed more variety.

I developed this business as a way to create some freedom in my life. Though I am based in DC, I am lucky enough to spend part of the year in Hawaii.

I have taken great care to ensure that all of my apartments are well-equipped and that no detail is forgotten.

My clients include Members of the Senate, the Washington Nationals and the Metropolitan Opera. I also specialize in placement for law students and government employees.

No question is foolish, so please do not hesitate to ask me for local recommendations and cool things to do. I look forward to meeting you. Aloha!
