This is a wonderful oceanfront townhome located in family friendly Kure Beach. It is beautifully decorated and clean, with a lot of attention to detail and comfort. It has been fully renovated inside and combines all the modern conveniences with the charm, comfort and solid construction of a beach home as they used to be built.
In this home, you can save your energy for the things that matter. There is no lugging baggage, groceries and other items up flights of stairs just to get to the front door. Just three steps and you are in the house. On the ocean side, just two steps down and your feet are in the sand. This is beach living the easy way. It is especially nice for children, those who might have difficulty with stairs or those who just want to rest. It is the perfect place for a family vacation, a romantic get away, a girlfriend's reunion or anyone longing for the renewal of spirit that comes from a stay at the beach. There is a minimum age limit for rental 25 years and party groups are not permitted.
We want to make sure you have a wonderful beach vacation when you are staying. If there is ever anything you need that you don't see at the home and we will try our best to accommodate you. We do provide most core essential things you may need while staying but want to make sure you know what is there.
Paper Towels - one roll
Toilet Paper - two rolls for each bathroom
Condiments/salt/pepper/seasonings - plenty of salt and pepper is there. There may be some vegetable oil and a bowl of condiments with Ketchup, Taco Bell sauces, pizza Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes, and some other random condiments are there
Dishwashing detergent - a big box with more than you can use is there
Laundry detergent - one per day is provided
Beach Chairs - there are two Tommy Bahama chairs and three of the old school chairs
Umbrella - one Tommy Bahama umbrella
Handful of beach toys and shovels
Cooler is not provided
We offer a linen/towel service for $100 per stay. This includes the beds will be made up and ready, towels for 8 people and two beach towels. You will need to request this when requesting the reservation if you want the towel and linen service.
Please note that dogs are not permitted on the beach in Kure Beach between April 1st and September 30. In Carolina Beach they are not allowed from 9 am to 5 pm from April 1 to September 30. If you would like to bring your small to medium sized dog we do charge a $150 per week fee, $225 for two dogs. Let us know after booking and we can do a price adjustment for the additional items.

We live just two miles away and I work from home so am highly available. If we are out of town, we will provide backup resources to help you with whatever you may need.
On the first floor, you will find a bedroom and bath, and an open kitchen/living area with a TV/DVD/VCR, a CD player, a bar that seats four, a coffee table with four seats that doubles as a game table or additional dining space for children, and other comfortable seating. Extended channels for cable TV and both plug-in and wireless Internet service are provided. Two TV's have cable boxes and two TVs have Roku Streaming Sticks, with the Spectrum App installed providing full access to the extended cable channels. The kitchen is fully equipped, to include all major and minor appliances, with a smooth top cooking surface, microwave, and regular ovens, disposal, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, coffee pot, mixer, toaster, and blender. There is also an ocean side covered porch with a table for six to provide additional dining space. The porch has built-in benches and chairs that can recline for your comfort. There are an outdoor shower and water faucet attached to the porch and an overhead fan with light to make sure there's always a breeze.
On the second floor, you will find two bedrooms, a bath and French doors that lead to an ocean side balcony. Oceanside balcony has a swing and chairs that recline.
Whether you choose the porch or the balcony, both have wonderful views of the ocean and are ideal for watching the children play, people on the beach and the waves rolling in. You can enjoy the magnificent sunrises or watch the moon and stars without the glare of city lights.
You will find a washer and dryer on the second floor and a vacuum cleaner. The living area in each bedroom has an overhead fan/light as well as lamps for more cozy atmosphere. There is a TV in each bedroom. All of the beds except the twin have brand new pillow toppers on the bed.
Infants are OK, but we currently do NOT have a crib. You would have to bring your own crib. I may be able to find one if needed.
$150 extra for one dog, $75 more for second pet. $100 for linen/towel service. Please let me know if you have any or want any of these. Kure Beach ordinance does not allow dogs on the beach between April 1st and October 1st. Both Kure Beach and Carolina Beach have dog parks. You can also take dogs on a leash to the north and south ends of Pleasure Island if you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle and requires a permit to access them.
THIS PROPERTY IS RENTED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS:
1)Tenant agrees that the maximum occupancy of the premises is eight (8) persons, unless otherwise agreed in writing. More occupants than allowed or specified shall be a material breach resulting in termination of tenancy.
2)Fully housebroken pets are permitted with prior approval and payment of a pet fee. Tenant agrees to abide by all Owner, Homeowners Association and Town of Kure Beach regulations. Failure to do so shall be considered a material breach resulting in termination of tenancy. For each pet please provide name, breed, (if mixed, specify the mix), age and weight.
3)Tenant executing this lease, as the responsible party, shall be at least 25 years of age. Tenant understands that Owner rents only to family groups and that no high school, college, house party or civic groups are permitted. Violation of this policy is a material breach and shall result in termination of tenancy and default of this Agreement by Tenant.
4)Tenant agrees to maintain the condition of the premises in accordance with Section 42A-32 of the Vacation Rental Act and Owner agrees to provide fit premises in accordance with Section 42A-3 1 of the Vacation Rental Act.
5)Tenant shall receive the necessary keys for the premises. In the event all keys are not returned at the time of departure, a fee not exceeding $50.00 may be charged, in the discretion of Owner. Tenant agrees that returning the key at a later time will not require or justify a refund of this fee, as a replacement key must be available immediately.
6)Tenant acknowledges the premises are privately owned and have been decorated and equipped to satisfy the taste and desires of the Owner. Tenant agrees not to move any furnishings or accessories or remove them from the premises. Owner shall not be responsible for providing additional furnishings or equipment.
7)Tenant agrees to indemnify and hold Owner harmless for any damage or loss during Tenant’s occupancy of premises, excluding normal wear and tear. Payment for such losses shall be deducted from the security deposit as provided by law.
8)Tenant acknowledges that mechanical equipment will occasionally malfunction and Owner cannot guarantee that it will perform. Tenant shall not be entitled to a refund for inoperative mechanical equipment. Upon notification by Tenant of a problem, Owner will take necessary steps to make repairs or employ a service to do so during normal business hours.
9)Should the present Owner transfer title to the real property which is the subject of this lease, Owner shall give all notices, make all disclosures, transfer all leases and funds, and make any refunds as required by the Vacation Rental Act.
10)Tenant understands that if the premises are transferred by Owner, the new owner shall be required to honor any rental agreements which end-less than 180 days after recording the transfer of said property. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the new owner shall not be required to honor any rental agreements that end more than 180 days after recording the transfer. If the new owner chooses not to honor a rental agreement ending more than 180 days from the date of transfer, Tenant is entitled to a full refund of payments pursuant to the Vacation Rental Act.
11)Tenant acknowledges that if the term of this agreement is 30 days or less, the expedited eviction procedures in Article 4 of the Vacation Rental Act apply. Tenant may be subject to expedited eviction for material breach of this agreement giving Owner the right to immediately terminate this agreement, to re-enter and re-rent the premises, with or without terminating this agreement and to collect from Tenant damages resulting from the default, including but not limited to, costs of re-renting the premises, costs of repairing the premises, the difference between the rent at which the premises are re-rented and the rent provided in this agreement for the balance of the term, and reasonable attorneys fees incurred as a result of the default.
12)Tenant agrees not to charge a long distance call to the private phone of the premises, change cable services or bill additional cable services than what is provided, e.g. movies. Should Tenant create toll charges related to the phone or charges on the cable account, Tenant agrees to pay all charges and an administrative fee of $25.00.
13)Tenant agrees that the premises may not be sublet without written consent of Owner. Tenant also agrees that one or more locked closets or sealed cabinets are reserved for Owner and are not included in this Agreement. In the event Tenant enters a locked closet or sealed cabinet, Tenant shall pay the full cost of any missing or damaged items and a fee of $(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)ant agrees Owner may enter the premises for the purpose of maintenance, repairs, sales showings and inspection.
15)Tenant agrees to take all reasonable steps to insure that all members of Tenant’s party adhere to all state and local laws and ordinances, home owner rules and regulations posted in the premises and common areas and all provisions of this agreement. Any violation of such and any conduct that interferes with the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of the premises by other guests or neighbors shall be a material breach and default of this agreement resulting in termination of tenancy.
16)Tenant agrees that Owner shall not be liable for any damage or injury to Tenant or members of Tenant’s party or property, occurring on the premises or any part thereof, including common areas, unless caused by the gross negligence or willful act of the Owner. Owner shall not be responsible for acts of theft, vandalism, or other damage to Tenant’s personal property. Tenant agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Owner for any claims of injury or damage not the direct result of gross negligence or willful act by the Owner.
17)Tenant understands that the five unit premises have one designated parking space per unit and three shared guest spaces. On-street parking is available but cannot be promised. A maximum of 2 vehicles per unit is recommended, especially during peak season. No boats, trailer, campers, buses or RV’s are allowed.
18)Tenant agrees to depart the premises by the 10:00 AM checkout time. Late departure shall subject the tenant to a fee of $50.00. There is no refund for early departure.
19)TENANT AGREES TO LEAVE THE PREMISES CLEAN AND TIDY ON DEPARTURE. Tenant must clean and return dishes to cabinets, empty and clean refrigerator/freezer, clean countertops, put all trash into outside containers, secure doors and windows, wash and dry any dish towels used and leave premises ready for the next occupant.
20)Tenant understands that sheets, pillow cases, towels, beach towels and personal linens are not provided by Owner, unless the Towel and Linen service was purchased. Tenant shall not allow any occupant to sleep in any bed without sheets and pillow cases. In the event Tenant cannot bring the proper linens, Owner will provide sources for rental upon request. Bed sizes are one queen, one twin and three full beds.
21)This is a NON-SMOKING UNIT. Violation may result in termination of tenancy and fee for additional cleaning.
22)Owner reserves the right to cancel this Agreement at any time prior to Tenant taking possession of the Premises. Owner shall be entitled to cancel due to unfit premises, structural or mechanical problems, double booking, or any other reason deemed necessary by Owner. Such cancellation shall be in writing. In such event all payments made by Tenant to Owner shall be refunded and the Owner will not be liable for damages of any sort incurred by Tenant as a result of such cancellation.
23)Failure to provide full and accurate information in the execution of this Agreement and failure to follow the terms and conditions set forth herein shall be a material breach, resulting in default and termination of tenancy.
24)Tenant agrees that in the event of a dispute, this Agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with, and governed by, the laws of the State of North Carolina. This Agreement shall be considered as having been entered into in New Hanover County, North Carolina, which shall be the venue for any related legal action. Tenant consents to the jurisdiction of the courts of North Carolina and waives any rights or defense relating to jurisdiction and venue. This Agreement represents the entire agreement between the parties and there are no representations or provisions other than specified herein. Any amendments must be in writing and executed by all parties. If any part of this Agreement is deemed unenforceable by law, that part shall be omitted from this Agreement with the remainder continuing in full force and effect.
25)This Agreement is comprised of four (4) pages including paragraphs 1-25. Tenant represents that they have read and understand the terms of this Agreement and agree to be bound by all of the provisions contained herein.
THIS IS A VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT UNDER THE NORTH CAROLINA VACATION RENTAL ACT. THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTIES TO THIS AGREEMENT ARE DEFINED BY LAW AND INCLUDE UNIQUE PROVISIONS PERMITTING THE DISBURSEMENT OF RENT PRIOR TO TENANCY AND EXPEDITED EVICTION OF TENANTS. YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THIS RENTAL ON AIRBNB IS EVIDENCE OF YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGREEMENT AND INTENT TO USE THIS PROPERTY FOR A VACATION RENTAL.
Please Note: Travel Protection Insurance - This agreement covers a property that is subject to hurricanes, adverse weather or other events that might result in a recommended or mandatory evacuation of the property. Tenant agrees to comply with a mandatory evacuation order. TRAVEL PROTECTION insurance is NOT PROVIDED by this agreement. You are urged to purchase travel protection insurance, including trip cancellation and interruption coverage from a company such as Insure My Trip, AIG, CSA Travel Insurance or Travel Guard. Purchase of this insurance is time sensitive and should be made at the time of reservation. Except for security deposit, in the event of a voluntary or mandatory evacuation, trip interruption or loss of use of the property due to weather related or catastrophic events, either before or after your arrival, there will be no refund of any funds paid prior to that time.

Our family moved to Pleasure Island in June 2014. We have been visiting the island for 13 years beforehand and have family locally. We found this beautiful beach home and loved it. We hope that you love too!
