This was the perfect hotel to stay in while visiting the ruins surrounding Ollantaytambo. The view from the 3rd floor deck is the best in the city and reaching both the ruins by foot takes less than 10 mins. The hotel was very clean, quiet and a really great value overall. We stayed on the 2nd floor the first few nights and due to an unexpected plan change I stayed another night in the only room available which was on the 1st floor. This room, located directly adjacent to the lobby was not good for trying to sleep late as you can hear the other guests meeting for breakfast. I will not hesitate to book anywhere else for another stay in Ollantaytambo.

In short, expect the unexpected. When I arrived, the receptionist told me I need to wait for a while in order to park my car. I try to ask why but not able to find out. Then I asked how to do the laundry. She told me it is 8 sol/kilo which again out of my surprise. I tried to show the AirBnB page which shows laundry and dryer facilities listed for this place but still in vain. Then I asked whether I could talk to the host (Juan) but the receptionist replied that it was impossible because the host was in USA. After a while she phoned a woman who said she was Juan’s daughter. Another surprise haha. The woman told me I could use their washing machine for free but no dryer available because people in that area do not use dryer. Funny fact that I just saw a lots of dryer during my previous stay at Cusco. And until now I could still see dryer facility listed on the AirBnB… After all these surprises, things are going normal. Besides all these unexpected facts compared to the AirBnB place description, the price is fair. The receptionists speak little English but are all kind and willing to help.

This is a fantastic hotel in Ollantaytambo. Great room, modern bathroom with a very high pressure shower that never ran out of hot water, and a view overlooking the town. The roof deck has to be one of the highest locations 'downtown' as you have 360 degree panoramic views. If you look on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps, you can find a view from the yellow roof deck that is true to form. Breakfast is very good, and includes freshly made eggs, 'pan de casa' (homemade bread), plenty of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, and coffe/tea/water that is available 24/7 (although it is just Nescafe instant coffee outside of breakfast hours). The morning we went to Machu Picchu they had a bagged lunch ready for us with a sandwich, juice box, Apple, banana, candy bar, and an energy bar. The one complaint that I would have is something that likely applies to many Ollantaytambo hotels and that is the 2-3 roosters that one can hear starting around 4am. I could hear them throughout town during the day, so it is likely a problem that most places in Ollantaytambo will have. Cannot recommend this place enough!

This room was one of my favorite places to stay. The view is so spectacular. We were able to see the whole city and were surrounded by mountains and ruins. We usually prefer a place with kitchen but breakfast was included and was delicious with many options. Very convenient, safe, and breathtaking star gazing at night. Hot showers, wifi, and other amenities were a plus.

The hotel has good location, nice view from terrace, hot water, good breakfast. BUT the room is complezely different from the picture. Small dark room with small window looking on backyard. They offer a lunch box for the day youbare going to Machu Picchu but it consists of 1 small white toast and some snacks. Better pack yourself. Overall it was good but I think there are better options for this price in Olla.

This hotel is in a great location in Ollantaytambo with a lovely view from the rooftop terrace of the ruins and the town. The room had a private bath with nice hot water. The staff was very friendly and made us a bagged breakfast ahead of time when we left early in the morning for Machu Picchu, and arranged for a taxi when we needed one. The hotel wifi never worked while we were there, but wifi appears to be hit or miss all over Ollantaytambo. I'd recommend this hotel.
