Masaki's place is an apartment like building, the flat is big enough for 2 people. It is located at a local residential area at daito city, about 30mins from the main city. Masaki is a kind and energetic young guy who even invite his friend to have dinner with me one night at a local ramen restaurant, we have a nice time. Masaki is so busy and hardworking that he only stay with me for one night, as a result i own the whole flat for the rest of my trip. Unfortunately We don't have much chance to chat. One more thing is if you want to experience being a local Japanese, Masaki's place will be a good choice. It is so surprising that when you open the curtains in the morning you can see so many local houses is just in front of you and a JR train passing through the rail between those traditional houses which can be only seen in Japanese cartoon. I will surely choose Masaki's place again when I go to Osaka!
I enjoyed my stay at Masaki's very much. He was super nice. On my first day, he came to pick me up at the train station. We got along well from the start and even went to Kyoto together where we had a pleasant time together with another friend of mine and their friend. As other reviewers already mentioned, it is a fine place when you travel on a budget. Small, but cozy, felt like home. I definitely recommend staying at Masaki's apartment!
I stayed with Masaki for 1 week. I highly recommend staying at his place when traveling alone. It's in a very safe location and a quick train ride to central Osaka. He is very helpful/friendly and you can come and leave as you please. --We even ended up hanging out a bit too. The bathroom and apt were both clean. Laundry+AC avail. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Osaka!
Masaki's home is a small but cozy apartment and looked exactly the same as the photos. It is very close to the nearest JR station and it's easy to go to Osaka and Kyoto from there. Masaki himself was a very hospitable host and was eager to communicate with people despite the language barrier. We even went to a ramen restaurant together during my stay. I enjoyed my time with him a lot. All in all, Masaki's home is the perfect place for a solo traveler who wants to live in a typical Japanese apartment and keep the traveling costs low.
