Pip's place is lovely -- the bathroom and kitchen are clean with new amenities. The bed is very comfortable too! As a single woman I felt perfectly comfortable walking back by myself late at night. The location is close to the G train, which takes some transferring to connect to Manhattan, but the area of Greenpoint itself is very cute and nice (go to Peter Pan!) No complaints; very easy stay.
This apartment was amazing. In my opinion, you get way more than what you paid for. I picked the place based on my minimal budget and got a very lovely room in a very lovely apartment. Check in was easy, the apartment and room were spacious and well decorated. It's about a ten minute walk to the G train, maybe 15 minutes to the L. Definitely a great place to stay.
Loved staying at Pip's place! It's a beautiful big apartment for NY, and has all the amenities you need. The location is one of my favourites, right near Franklin Street in Greenpoint which has really cute cafes, shops and bars, and an easy walk to Williamsburg. It's also nice and quiet. Pip is super lovely to deal with, and I had the pleasure of meeting her too. I only met one of her (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) but she was also very nice and welcoming!
Pip was a fantastic host. She was incredibly responsive and friendly in all of my communications with her. Everything matched the description in the listing perfectly. The apartment looked just like the pictures. It was clean and comfortable, and I felt quite safe walking around the neighborhood any time of day or night. If you want a charming place to stay in Brooklyn with easy public transportation access to Manhattan, this is the place to stay.
