À propos de ce logement
Our casita (little room) #1 is the perfect beach budget rental for couples or solo travelers. Located poolside in a quiet courtyard, the casita is one room, spacious enough for a queen-size bed and with its own private bathroom.
Located in the town of Chelem, we have a space that feels like a real home (because we live here too!) Our home is classic beach style: tile floors, louvered windows, simple living from an earlier Mexico. We have set up our home so that you can enjoy being here with little hassle but have also added the conveniences that make a vacation fun (like a pool). Walking, we can get to the beach in about 30 seconds and it takes us less than 5 minutes to restock our needed food necessities (milk, cheese, drinks, snacks) at the local store (owned by a family who works and lives here also). If you are looking for a real, honest, simple experience in Mexico, surrounded by good people, you will find it here. We live among the locals, we are locals. This is our home and we love sharing the experience of Chelem and the Yucatan with our guests, who soon become our friends.
Contact us with any of your questions- we will help, regardless if this is the perfect stay for you or not.
Accès des voyageurs
You will have access to your casita, pool, pool area, and rooftop (please be cautious). Wireless internet included. Air conditioning requires an additional charge .

As much as you want or need. We love getting to know our guests but if privacy and space are what you want, just let us know. Everyone is different and we get that. But do know, we are here to help or just hang out poolside with you. We love Mexico and we love sharing it with our guests.
Chelem, Yucatan, Mexico, is a delightful mix of Mexico and NOB. This is a real Mexican village that has opened up its arms to expats from around the world and "snow birds". You will find quiet, peaceful streets where children play outdoors safely and there are just as many motorized vehicles as bikes and walkers. The town stores offer all the necessities at a locals price. And when the pace gets a bit too slow, you can easily get on the main road and drive to neighboring Progreso or even Merida in less than hour.
Across the street from your apartment is the town baseball diamond. This provides many opportunities to see daily life for townspeople. In all directions, there are plenty of streets to walk, meeting locals and expats alike. Parking is street side, and very safe. Numerous restaurants are located within walking distance that cater to both the tourist and the local residents.
This is a family home (we have 2 kids). We understand and encourage guests to relax and make themselves comfortable with the understanding that they will be respectful of others. This would include limiting noises at night.
Electricity is an expensive item in this part of Mexico. Conservation is asked of all guests, including turning off non-essential electrical appliances. We have provided a pool to seek relief from the heat of the day should it be needed. We follow all these practices ourselves and we are quiet comfortable here.
Smoking should be outside, away from other guests. Mexico is a different country but please still be respectful of current attitudes regarding smoking.
Ask us about your pet please. We have a dog (as most people in Mexico do), but please let us know ahead of time and talk with us to determine if this is the right space for your animal friend.
The casita has one bed in it. There are hammock hooks, enough for two. This is the Yucatan. So, what does this mean? Mexican tourists do often bring their own bed and so can you. Just let us know how many people. We still need to keep the property safe and secure, but each casita can accommodate more than two people (Yucatan style of course).

Our family moved to Mexico in the Summer of 2014 to shake up life a little. And boy- has it! We have been busy getting to know Mexico, our business, each other and ourselves. We will never be the people we were before, travel and Mexico has changed us forever.
