Here are a couple of more small details for your stay, that are not always obvious

- Please put all trash in the trash bins in the alley at the side of the property. This is a tropical paradise, and also a paradise for the native cucarachas, so please ensure that the apartment is free of all enticements to them upon your departure.

We often have very quick turnaround times. We ask that our current guests follow these simple house rules to enable us to prepare the apartment for the next guests.

To receive your deposit back without pesky deductions, prior to leaving the apartment:
- Please leave the apartment neat and tidy. In the process, it's likely that you will find the things that you might otherwise leave behind -( ticket, money, passport!!) :)
- Just leave the sheets on the bed, and it is not necessary to do the laundry before departure unless the spirit moves you, and then please leave a note, and we will send you a tip, ha ha.
- Please wash and put away any dishes that you may have used. It is important so as not to attract the afore-mentioned bugs.
- If any item is broken or damaged, please notify us immediately! Often is not difficult or costly to replace when we have enough notice and oftentimes we may even disregard it. Do not ever place pool fob in the lockbox, they can be lost this way.
If not present in the apartment when the housekeeper arrives, the lost key charge will apply.

The check-out time of 11 AM is strictly enforced, unless prior arrangements are made. Again we typically have quick turnaround times for arriving guests. If you require a late departure than 11 AM, or an earlier arrival than 3 PM, it may be possible to book the extra hours for a small fee. You may even want to book the extra day, so you don't feel rushed, so please inquire!

We really hate to have to withhold any deposits from guests and rarely need to do it. Almost all of our guests are so delightful, and very many become friends, and return to our apartments year-after-year, some with substantial discounts!
But when the basic rules are not followed, it can make things so difficult for our cleaning person, and it can also greatly inconvenience our next guests.

Our wish is for you to have a wonderfully unforgettable stay at our apartment in South Beach. We want you to enjoy your vacation as much as possible, and we do everything in our power to ensure that you have a great time! Nice appartement. Entièrement rénové. Emplacement idéal sur ocean drive : au calme tout en étant proche des restaurants et très proche de la plage. Piscine correcte. L'appartement manque un peu de luminosité et à privilégier pour un couple (nous étions 3 et c'était un peu petit). Ted a répondu à nos demandes avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Miami beach est une destination coûteuse mais l'appartement reste un bon rapport qualité prix.

We arrived late so we had to get our key from the lock box. On the instructions it says the lock box is past the white gate, but it’s actually THROUGH the white gate. We had some trouble finding the lock box so we called a guy named Jason who asked us to call him once we arrived. He was pretty rude and bothered that we couldn’t find the lock box. The pool was absolutely disgusting and not maintained at all. We never saw anybody in it and everybody walking by had a look of disgust on their face. The sofa bed in the room definetly needs to be replaced .. the material was literally peeling off and chips of the leather were all over the floor. We were told we didn’t need a pool fob but we got locked out of the building multiple times because one of the doors wasnt working properly (according to tenants there) and we had to wait for somebody to come out so that we could go in. Good location and Ted gave us a few recomendations on places to eat

The ONLY reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5, was for the bathroom. It was smaller than we expected and a little cramped and uncomfortable. I did not pay close enough attention to the pictures and the fact that there is not a traditional door on the bathroom either. As noted in other reviews, make sure you are CLOSE to whomever you are sharing this room with, as there is not true 'privacy'. I absolutely LOVED the bed right off the bat, but my boyfriend really struggled with it. The mattress was too soft for him and it bothered his back, but I slept like a rock. There is a couch/bed in the room as well. That one was firmer, and the one he preferred. The location cannot be beat. We opted for this studio space over bigger rooms that were farther away from the beach. The room came with two beach chairs and a beach umbrella. They were a god-send! If you are looking for a place to stay while you spend all day at the beach, this is the place for you. Our host was amazing and very helpful. We actually saw him a few different times after check in and he sent us emails throughout the week with different things to do or places to eat. We had such a wonderful time. We would recommend.

Ted's place is exactly as he describes it. Literally a walk away from the beach and all the cool shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs that South Beach has to offer. He made checking in and out so easy. The pool was heated and not too crowded. The halls were quiet for the most part even in the middle of tourist season. Definitely would stay here again for a couple's trip when we come back.

It's the bare minimum so if you're just looking for a place to breeze in and out of on the way to the beach, it's fine. There were some bugs, the A/C unit struggles a bit, the elevator broke, the bathroom is tiny, and the rest of the building is mostly college kids it seemed like. If you're staying for more than a couple of nights you'll have to make lots of trips to the store because you're not going to fit much in the fridge. For a $150 a night, I think you can get more bang for your buck somewhere else. The location is great and the bed is comfortable.

Thanks for staying with us, Stephanie. We actually replaced the A/C with a new one just now as it's been unusually hot, even for Florida! Keep in mind your daily rate was higher than usual because you only stayed 2 days and the cleaning fee is a larger percentage for a short stay like this. Our rates are very reasonable for a renovated, legal short term rental in the best location of Miami Beach. Regards, Ted

Great location and pool was 24 hours. Walking distance to many places. Only down fall was it is a very small space, and there's no parking provided, but I think that's normal for the location. Recommend finding a lot and negotiating for $20-$25 a day parking. Check in was easy and the bed was SUPER comfortable.

I love it here and I'm happy to be able to help others experience my paradise!

I'm a total music fanatic, eclectic taste ranging from Dire Straits to Killing Joke, lately some Florence and the Machine, M83 and other "underground mainstream" (if there is such a thing)

Reading Stoic Philosopher Seneca lately (you should check him out!), and the bible always.

Love watching a good foreign film (even a mediocre foreign film for that matter, over a domestic one).
Favorites include "Kontroll" (Hungary), "Dogs Will" (Brazil) "City of Men" and "City of God" (definitely Brazil) "Bibliotheque Pascal" (Hungary)(I'm beginning to notice a pattern here)

When I get my own act together enough I want to operate an orphanage in an appropriate third world city to give some kids a chance at a nice life.
