5th Ave home in the heart of Nashville's Capital district boasting excellent amenities. Walking distance to amazing restaurants, Sounds baseball stadium, downtown Broadway's action, Bridgestone arena, The Ryman, bicycle rental, Farmers Market, & so much more. Just across the river from Nissan Stadium, too. Ideal!!
This studio apartment is located above our detached garage. It was designed as a recording/writing studio and has been used to record several albums.
It's an open floor plan with a sound-proofed bedroom with a queen-size bed and large walk-in closet that doubles as a changing room. The closet is also plenty large enough to put a pack-n-play if you have babies. The leather sofa in the living area is convertible and becomes a double bed as well as a lounger. The kitchen is well-stocked with a full-sized fridge/freezer, Keurig with stocked Kcup drawer, microwave, toaster oven, electric stove-top eyes, pots, pans, utensils, basic cooking seasonings, etc.
There is a designated parking space behind the apartment (which is a rare commodity in this neighborhood during peak hours). The entrance to the apartment is inside a fenced-in yard. There is cable wifi and DirectTV for your business and entertainment desires. Please note that during severe storms, service may be patchy or disrupted. Also, Nashville - Germantown specifically - is undergoing a significant population boom. The population of the area has more than tripled in 3 years. This has made a dent in wireless services from the neighborhood’s only provider. We have had some guests report spotty service. However, 99% if our guests report no problems at all. We live here, and experience the same thing. It’s never kept us from doing anything we needed or wanted to do. Please keep in mind this is our home. And we’d love to welcome you into it - and treat you really well - and make you feel comfortable and close to everything Nashville has to offer for a fraction of the price of a hotel downtown. Fiber internet is not available to us yet - though we look forward to the day it is. So, please understand that WiFi issues should be reported to us, certainly, but are, for the most part, out of our control.
Also, happy to accommodate later/earlier check outs/ins as the schedule permits. We will be flexible if we can for you.
Accès des voyageurs
We want our guests to feel welcomed, relaxed and... at home! Guests have access to everything in the apartment. Please feel free to inquire about later/earlier check outs and ins. We will be flexible if we can.
We have long term renters with a sweet, older dogs in our main home, they have exclusive access to the yard and front gate. Please always enter and exit the property from the rear gate.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We would like to greet you in person to show you the apartment and answer any questions. We will always be available to assist with any needs or questions that arise. We lead pretty busy lives with our 2 children, but we would like to get to meet our guests and make sure they feel welcomed, comfortable, and informed. Our main house tenants are wonderful people that work from home and are also available to assist you during your stay.
If you happen to forget any basic necessity, we will be glad to provide those (toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, etc). Just let us know.
Also, as mentioned previously, we have tenants that have puppies that have exclusive access to the back yard. So, please always enter and exit the property from the rear gate.
*We have family members with asthma, so no smoking is allowed in the apartment or in the back yard. You can smoke on the parking pad behind the apartment if needed. But please dispose of butts in the trash (not the ground).
*Due to some unfortunate issues with past guests - we reserve the right to decline requests of parties with more than 1-2 guest for LESS THAN 2 nights. We will need to discuss with the guest prior to approving a booking request for only 1 night.
*Remainder of house rules and check-out information is located in the house manual available upon arrival.
We lived in Germantown in downtown Nashville for 15 years. And loved it. We chose to raise our 2 children in this urban neighborhood and never regretted that decision. We love it here. We love our home. And we hope to be able to share our love of those things with our guests.
Matt is a musician and I am a physical therapist, though I'm only working part-time now that I am homeschooling our children.
We value our relationships with God, family, and friends above all else. And try to make life decisions based on those passions.
We want our guests to feel welcomed and comfortable always.
