Find nature & relaxation here! Situated along the river, this cabin is for travelers seeking a "glamping" experience. Close to nature, privacy, hiking and steps away to paved roads, restaurants, and bus stop. Enjoy privacy or the community or both.
Our cabina was created from natural, local materials and to create a charming "outdoor" experience. Enjoy a bath or hot shower in the handcrafted stone tub. Sleep in one of the closed rooms, or place a sleeping bag(s) or hammock in the covered area that's open to the outdoors. This setting is ideal for someone who enjoys a "raw food" diet, but provides sufficient kitchen space and utensils for those wanting a place to cook. Buy locally grown produce and prepare in the kitchen or step out for a meal at one of several nearby restaurants. Private indoor toilet and sink room, separate from the stone bathing area.
We grow coffee and oranges on our farm and will provide our guests with complimentary freshly roasted coffee and/or oranges (upon request). Our cabina is equipped with 3 types of coffee-making devices, including a drip, french press and traditional Costa Rica chorreador!
There is a mini-refrigerator for storing small amounts of groceries, a gas stove, and an Oster blender.
One bedroom contains a loft-bed (queen size) and below is a desk area, and a washing machine. The next room has children-sized chairs/table, some toys, and has room for sleeping bags.
Accès des voyageurs
Semi-private river access (shared with one other tenant). Swimming holes, hiking trails and hot springs are in all directions, and there is an asphalt road to Chirrup and the nearby plaza.

We will provide you with directions to the area. We'll meet you there to give you a short tour of the cabin and river area before leaving you to enjoy the rushing river and singing birds. We live near the property and are available should you have questions or need assistance.
The temperatures range from 60 to 85 degrees. Cooler in the evenings and mornings, and warm during the daytime hours.
We recommend that you bring:
• Bug repellant: Remember this location is in the rainforest, along a river, and a variety of bugs, bees, ants (etc.) call this place home. Deet-free insect repellant is best for you and the environment. Lavender and citronella or neem in carrier oils (coconut, jojoba, etc.) work great.
• Shoes: There are biting ants and the terrain is hilly and rocky. It becomes slippery during and after rains. Shoes with good tread and ankle support are highly recommended.
• Rain gear: From April through November, it rains almost daily here. An umbrella and/or rain jacket and rubber boots or shoes will help you stay dry.
• Flashlight/Head Lamp: You'll be far from the city lights, so pack a flashlight or head lamp to carry with you after dark.
We have a lovely little dog living on the property. She heartily welcomes visitors, and if allowed, will accompany guests around the property and beyond. She is very agile, loves to hike and take walks. She's also well trained, however, and will listen to commands like "stay home, be good".
Tobacco smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. Medical marijuana users are welcome.
We prefer that guests use soaps and detergents that are eco-friendly. Dish soap provided.
This is a small town where it is often dark by 6:00 pm. There is little noise from human activity after 10 pm. In the mornings, the daylight appears between 5 and 6 am; it is common to hear the buzzing of human activity shortly thereafter.
