50 steps to the beach, our bungalow sleeps four, but can accommodate up to six people if you are creative (air mattress, etc.). Walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants, surfing, SUP'ing, kayaking, massage, tattoos, and vape shop (if you're into that sort of thing!).

We live around the corner, so if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or needs, we are about a 30 second walk.
As a side note, the bungalow is about 80 years old and still has some reminders of that. For instance, the bathroom (commode and sink room) is relatively small. However, we have done our best to make it a comfortable, functional, clean, and enjoyable place to stay. We love it and hope you will too.
Welcome to the Sunset Beach Bungalow, we hope you enjoy your stay! If there is anything you need please do not hesitate to give us a call or text. If we don't have something in the bungalow, there is a good change we can bring it down from our house, don't hesitate to ask.
This bungalow was built in approximately 1935 and rumor has it that it was originally a ticket office for the red-line train that ran from Newport Beach to Long Beach along the green belt. It was originally two buildings, but someone built a roof over both structures. In 2015, we did a major remodel and upgraded the kitchen, windows, floors, as well as drywall on several walls. What remains of the 30's era bungalow is the bathroom which will have to be a project for another day.
While staying here, please be respectful of our neighbors. Please keep noise on the patios, as well as noise from coming and going, to a minimum after 9:00PM.
The lock on the front door is a key-code lock. We will give you the code upon check in. To open the door, input the code, then press the “" button. To lock the door, just press the “"button. For the sliding glass door off the bedroom, there is a kick lock at the bottom of the door. Use your foot to lock and unlock the sliding door.
The bungalow is equipped with wireless Internet. Speed is approximately 3Mb down, and 1.5Mb up.
The soap packets for the washer are in the white bag on the shelf above the washer. Please make sure that no sand is in the items being washed.
Linens are in the laundry closet. Please do not take the bath towels out to the beach, only the beach towels. Also, please completely shake out the sand from the towels outside before washing.
The kitchen is fully stocked. Please feel free to use any of the appliances, but please wash all dishes with soap and hot water.
When you come in from the beach, please leave all the sand outside. Use the hose to rinse off, but please put the hose over the fence as there is no drainage inside the patio. Also, please do not rinse sand off in the shower, and please do not wash towels or clothing with sand in them.
Trash day is on Monday and Friday. On these days, please put the trash cans out in the street at least two-feet apart and six-inches from the wall. The trash truck will not pick them up otherwise. Please move the cans back to the patio as soon as possible after pick up and no later than that evening. Please put all food waste into a plastic bag before disposing.
Please wash all dishes and utensils and put away. Please strip the beds and leave towels and sheets on the laundry room floor. Do a final walkthrough to make sure you have all cell phone chargers (people leave these all the time), etc. While we have a cleaning service, it does not cover deep cleaning, so please leave the bungalow broom clean.
