This island was a terrific summer retreat and I would highly recommend it! Jack was a wonderful host and the island was exactly what my group was looking for. The cabins on the island were super clean and had everything we needed to cook/grill and enjoy the water. Jack was terrific at explaining any key details of the island and had an answer for all of our questions. Jack was also extremely accommodating when it came to taking us back and forth from the island to the mainland. Five stars and would visit again!

Excellent from the start. Jack was easy to work with, accommodating, and flexible. A weekend with old high school buddies couldn't have gone any better thanks to Jack.

Jack was very accommodating for our large extended family group, making multiple boat trips from the mainland to the island, helping us pick up dinner from the restaurant we had cater, and was quick answering emails for our pre-arrival arrangements. The swimming was delightful as it was extremely hot (in the 90s) during our visit, but be aware, it's very shallow near the island, so no diving. The lodge got very hot, holding the heat very well (not what you want in summer!), but the cabins, being smaller, let the breezes through and all had multiple fans and screens for windows. Some in our group took advantage of the 2 canoes and 2 kayaks available for use, and the paddle boats too. The grandparents were happy to sit in the shade of the lodge porch and watch the goings-on of all the children and grandchildren. It was good to have the lodge as a place to accommodate them, as the walks to the cabins, although short for the young, are laden with roots and bumpy terrain, making it a tough commute for the older folks.
