It's all up to you!
We’re both outgoing and sociable, and we enjoy quiet “down time” equally as well. Our friends and family would likely describe us as easy-going, creative, well-read, well-traveled, and very much enjoy meeting new people. Our interests include: all varieties of music, song-writing, theater, cinema, literature, languages, art and design, cooking and good food, hiking… and especially travel..!
There are stairs to this second floor flat.
Monday through Friday, parking in San Francisco can be a challenge for visitors.
M-F, in our residential zone, daytime parking (8 a.m. to 9 p.m.) is restricted to 2-hours-at-a-time, in-one-spot. (Residents have permits posted on their bumpers allowing them exemption.) So, if you park overnight, SF Parking Enforcement has told me you may leave your car in one spot on weekdays from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Also you should note that ALL streets have an additional 2-hour restriction once-a-week for street cleaning hours.
There are NO restrictions on street parking here on Saturday and Sunday.
There is "SECRET PARKING" with NO-permit-needed weekday parking within 2 blocks of our home. I can give directions (with map) to our visitors who need it.
Some guests who have visited SF on a continuing road trip have found it useful to just leave the car in the “secret parking” zone and walk, bus/train & Uber around town.
(Of course, drivers need to read and follow all the parking signs that are posted :-)
THE SHARED BATHROOM
The bathroom would be shared with my partner Harvey and me. Of course we do our very best to defer to your schedule. The bath, shower and sink are in one enclosed room, and the toilet is in a separate adjacent enclosed "water closet" -- a Victorian feature.
No worries for those with allergies as we do not have any cats or dogs.
We have a small (6-inch w/o tail feathers) parrot that speaks and sings. He is gentle and sweet and he CANNOT BE HEARD at all in the guest room.
THE SOMETIMES TEENAGE SON
Harvey's 15-year-old son (my step son) sometimes stays here one night a week. He always has slept in my home office - never in the guestroom - so he is not even remotely displaced when visitors are here. Very rarely he is here more than one night a week, and often he is not here for weeks at a time. He is a quiet smart respectful cool kid.
SF business permit: (phone number hidden) -- we comply with all business and tax requirements of the city and county of San Francisco. #(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (Business Registration Certificate for San Francisco)
