A lovely comfortable double room with your own private bathroom. Kettlethorpe is blissfully quiet but located within easy reach of Lincoln, Newark & Gainsborough. The room has a double aspect thus catching both the morning and evening sun. Heaven!
We converted the barns ourselves and so each space is unique and characterful. The room features a hand crafted super king bead made from the original barn timbers. Guests will also have access to a glass family area and enclosed south facing courtyard garden. The barns sit within an acre of land. Regular visitors to the barns include a tawny owl and barn owl (possible ex residents!). Kettlethorpe hall (privately owned) is nearby and this was once the home of Katherine Swynford -the mistress of John Of Gaunt. There are numerous, picturesque walks nearby.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests will have access to a large shared open plan kitchen and glass family area. We can also offer the use of a 1950s police tandem by negotiation (great for a trip to the local pub!) Other bedrooms, an artist studio and office are off limits.

The room is part of our family home and so we will be around during your stay. We have a wealth of local knowledge and we are very happy to share this in order to make your stay more enjoyable.
LGBT friendly household. Children welcome (an additional room may be sometimes available by prior negotiation) We have a very gentle dog, who will be very excited on your arrival but will then promptly nod off! The house is heated by solar thermal and has underfloor heating throughout. If like us you have an electric car, for an additional small charge you can make use of our type 2 socket for charging.
No smoking inside (outside is ok), no pets, respect the space and enjoy yourselves. As we are not on mains sewage we have to be careful about what we can flush away - more advice available on booking. Something to note -there are some left over building materials in the garden which we are gradually recycling.
